This is not a movie review but a recommendation ... if you are planning to catch a movie in theatres, do check out Kantara,Even Kangana Ranaut praised the film after watching in cinema ... said it gave her goosebumps,The success of Kantara is an eye opener for a lot of people,By word of mouth alone this movie has made 160 crore+ which is extraordinary ... this is many times its small budget,On the contrary Bollywood films can't break even,It took Brahmastra many weeks to recover its huge budget at the box office,I am not analyst Taran Adarsh ... so there is more to this video than box office numbers,Kantara reminds us of themes beyond sensationalism, nationalism, etc. such as feudalism, tribal rights, caste system, land encroachment and so on,And people do like to spend money to see it in the hall,Kantara features multi talented Rishab Shetty, who worked as writer director and actor in the film,Just like me, right editor?,Shetty has used folklore, superstition and mythological theme to highlight tribal vs state vs feudal issues,Movie sticks to its theme and is commercially viable,Kantara is not a documentary on tribal rights ... it is an entertaining account of problems faces by tribal people,Audience generally does not care about tribal rights ... still the movie succeeds,This was also common in Bollywood when they made movies on social evils ... now it's changed,Angry young man is now quiet old man ... nationalism is the motivating factor in Bollywood ... no more movies that challenge the authority,Socio-political experiments in Bollywood are very limited,Because it has become increasingly risky making such movies,Besides, attention span of people shrinking,However a good film can keep you hooked, like Jai Bhim,Jai Bhim highlighted several socio-political issues and succeeded at box office,Socially relevant stories are a norm in Tamil Telugu Malayali Marathi cinema,They don't succeed because of money or production banner but because of gripping storylines and word of mouth,What is even the role of boycott gang? Ajaneesh Loknath captures the mystery and drama in the story,Sudden bursts of sound keep you on the edge of your seat,Even Kangana was taken aback,Biggest reason to watch is its social theme ... question of tribal rights,Tribals have become one with the forest for centuries,Government interference in their lifestyle leads to conflicts between tribal leader and forest officer,Forest officer plays his role well ... to save environment is his duty,So the conflict and banter between the two is a treat,How they end up supporting each other is worth watching,Final reason why this video,I believe all Bollywood producers and directors should watch Kantara ... how they made brilliant film on low budget,Bollywood can also make movies on small scale and take risks, if not on big production movies,At least there will be scope of experiment and new talent emerging in the industry ... and who knows a superhit?,Kantara is highest rated movie on IMDb in India ... despite some flaws, like deep rooted sexism ... southern movies have to overcome that as well,However the topic selection and risk taking abilities are better than Bollywood,Actors focus on gyms not much on acting these days,Producers are busy pleasing the system,Bollywood has a lot to learn, otherwise flops will continue,SUBSCRIB
