Notre Dame Stunned by Marshall; What Now For Marcus Freeman?welcome to the shamrock i'm pete sampson

Notre Dame Stunned by Marshall; What Now For Marcus Freeman?

welcome to the shamrock i'm pete sampson,at top notre dame stadium joined by matt, fortuna back home in chicago and, matt this is a a tough one to make sense,of because,we've been covering durian a long time, this is a game door name always found a,way to win under brian kelly they won 42,straight against unranked competition uh,marshall, upsets notre dame as a 20-point underdog,26-21,the offense very stagnant they may have,a quarterback injury to deal with moving, forward there's no run game they, couldn't tackle at the end of the game,it uh,it's a very difficult thing to process,in marcus truman afterwards when asked, about you know where do you start,he kind of said everything which is i,think the most alarming answer you can, give, because, ever you can't fix everything in one, week or two weeks or three weeks um the, everything is what you need to get done,in august and spring practice and summer, workouts and here notre dame is sitting, here 0-2 marcus freeman 0-3 the first i,think the first story of head coach to,fall that went three um,it is uh,it's a tough place to be for a program, that's ranked in the top five to begin, the season and now may be unranked, entirely they should be unranked i mean, the most, the loss itself is perplexing like we,can talk about this for the next hour, and still not make a whole lot of sense,of it but what makes even less sense is,like watching that game and looking at,the post-game stats like marshall is a,better team like it wasn't even like, not even close marshall out gained the, more total yards they outrushed them 219,to 130. they averaged 5.1 yards per play, more than their name at 4.7 uh they won,the turnover battle three to nothing,i tweeted that marshall defensive line, looks like the second coming of the, steel curtain against notre dame's,offensive line i mean it was a joke it,it's one of those losses that and we can,do this i guess because it's new, coaching staff and and we don't,um,you know we don't have like the body of,work to rely on like we did with brian, kelly whereas i'm like i feel like this,is a loss that calls everything into, question like they do not look like a,functional operation right now on the, field they can't move the ball against, marshall like that's concerning if it's,fourth and one and you're going for it,and you're running with your bulldozer, running back and you can't get it,like i don't know what you do like it,was, listen to the post game i mean, not that you expect these guys have, answers postgame not that you expect, them to like go all right wrong crazy, you know right when they get to the, podium with us but you know it was very, much like it's working in camp it's,where you michael mayer was very adamant, like we ran the ball extremely well in,camp i don't think we're that far off,it's just something we're doing on game, day i don't know if he's right i don't,know if he's wrong, something has got to change i mean that,is i mean you talk about the honeymoon, period wearing off fast holy cow i mean, this this is as bad as it gets as far as,football wise i just, might but i cannot wrap my arm around, everything we just saw over the last, three hours, yeah great like i said the grace period, for marcus freeman would last to the, next loss after ohio state i thought, that maybe would be in november we're,here sitting here on september 10th,talking about it yeah i mean it's uh,notre dame sort of bring you we crawl, and i wrote about it and it was, important to people just about you know, bringing back the pregame mass and, walking the stadium and they call that, the victory march and i mean it's just, like,it just sort of turned the day turned, into ash in everyone's mouth here um,you know to get, pushed around on both lines um to to,have, really, poor quarterback play across the board, you know drew pine comes in at the end, throws it straight to a linebacker that,is just waiting for the ball to come to,him,um it it was brutal it was brutal to,watch,i think that, you know i sort of usually give players, and especially players usually often, coaches a pass about sort of the post, game emotion and reading too much into, that because, the season, basically ended today in terms of what, the season was supposed to be there's,still 10 games to go there's still a lot,to play for but,in terms of reaching your goal of,contending for the playoff or being in,the mix when the prankies come out, that's done um and like like you said, matt it calls into question everything, and when everything is called into, question that is just an incredibly, uncomfortable place to be i mean we why, don't we just start with the offense, like, norton's entire offense today the only, thing that was functional were tyler, buckler's legs and michael mayer's all, body parts that was it like everybody, else on the offense was poor um i don't,think that you could point to a single, player who who played well, other than like half of tyler buckner, and all of michael mayer you know the, logan digs third down blitz pickup which, looked just like

Golic & Smetty: Full Notre Dame football preview with Pete Sampson, is 10 wins on the table?

Golic & Smetty: Full Notre Dame football preview with Pete Sampson, is 10 wins on the table?

you're a real student of the game mike,i'm a student i'm a student of the, tailgate, welcome all to another edition of golic, and smeti i am mike golick senior she is,jess matana, and if you are a college football fan,you will love this edition if you're a,notre dame hater maybe not so much, because we're breaking down fighting, irish football jess it's about time we,do that don't you think, finally i mean i think we've showed so,much restraint in the last few months we,started this podcast in march i think, and so there hasn't been a whole lot of,notre dame football stuff to talk about, mike and we've showed restraint not, covering tyler buckner's uh pre-season,spring ankle injury, and the notre dame recruiting class and,all the things that we could have talked, about so we saved it all for this, episode and we're gonna have pete, sampson from the athletic on to talk, about uh this year's notre dame football, team yeah he's been covering notre dame, for over 20 i think it's his 22nd year,so we will jump into that in that, preview so we've got college football, starting very soon nfl starts a little, bit after that we had pre-season,game number one which to me still just, the most important thing as players get,up after every play that should be the, only the fans only,uh saving grace or thing they exhale, about is get up after every play but,i'll say this quickly there were some, injuries, because you're a pittsburgh steeler fan,oh boy yeah i mean you got a,three-headed monster race here which i,thought trubitsky was going to win out,of the gate i think he's going to be the, starter in week one but mason rudolph is,trying to make you know he's been the, backup for ben for a few years trying to,be the guy,and then the only first round, quarterback can he pick it out of pitt, playing on his home field right there, some of his former teammates were there,he had a big fan club, dude absolutely lit it up you had to be,ecstatic about that,oh i was and george pickens too the, draft pick out of georgia the wide, receiver so mike i um,you know you you were on you've been on,radio for for decades right i'm sure, when you watch sports sometimes you're,already formulating an opinion about, what you're going to say about it you, know on monday or whatever day on your, show so,going into this steelers preseason game,i was already thinking of a way to,dismiss bad performance by these, quarterbacks and say well it's a,preseason game we can't we can't take, anything from it and kind of expecting, the worst and then like lo and behold, all three of them played really well and,now i'm like well,my uh my take is that this is extremely, indicative of how good these, quarterbacks are and we should be,very ecstatic about it so i've kind of,done like a 180 on that from thinking, like oh well if they play bad it doesn't,count but if they play good it's it's,really really good for me i'm very, excited about it it just means something, you're covered both ways that's the way,to look at it i mean again this is the,one where there's only the three-headed,monster you have the uh baker mayfield, and sam darnold the the two going after,it in carolina but mitch went mitch, trubisky went 4-7 with a touchdown, rudolph went 9-15 with a touchdown uh,and can he pick it when 13 13-15,with two touchdowns no interceptions in,this game you mentioned uh pickens out,of georgia he had three catches for 43,yards and a touchdown as well so,again i don't get overly crazy,in pre-season especially when guys are, going against a second team but when,it's their first time out on the field, you give them credit for what they did,all you can do is study what they did,and they'll break down the film was he,making the reads quick enough was he,getting rid of the ball quick enough, blah blah blah all that stuff so we'll,wait and see but but a nice start i,thought for the only uh first round, quarterback in kenny pickett i thought,uh things went well for him we talked, about guys getting up,zach wilson unfortunately did not,the jets quarterback uh he ran and tried,to maybe get a little more yardage than,he should have on a run,and came up limping and then went back, down and so he had to get uh some, surgery or he's gonna get surgery done,in his meniscus he's not sure if he's,gonna they're not sure if he's gonna, play week one or not if not elite, quarterback joe flacco uh will be ready,to go but uh oh yeah that's one i mean, again just we talk about this all the, time it's a one thing, you you can't predict and we've already, talked about other guys who have been, hurt and done for the season already, with knee injuries or achilles injuries, but man when it's your quarterback and, you're looking to take the next step and,all of a sudden zach wilson who missed, games last year with a knee is all of a,sudden on the shelf early with a knee i,mean that that just, every every jet fan i can't imagine what, stu gotcha is saying right now or said, when he saw that i know i know exactly, what he's saying,i i hate them that's what he's sayin

Kim Jong-Un brutally shoots an orchestra conductor 90 times in front of every artist in Pyongyang

Kim Jong-Un brutally shoots an orchestra conductor 90 times in front of every artist in Pyongyang

and kim jong-un demanded the soldiers, using a shovel,to put and gather what was remaining, after the execution and take them away, and then what he did,was demanding every artist stand up and,go closer and then take a look around of,the side of the execution,so many of them were like fainting, peeing in their pants and,and do you know what this does when you,see something like, public execution once you are, traumatized for the rest of your life,hi guys welcome to my channel my name is,yami park,i'm a north korean de facto human rights, activist,so today i have a very important news to,deliver,i still somehow do not get it this is,happening in this 21st century, and north korea is so much so forgotten, from the rest of the humanity,we you have no clue what is happening in,the darkness, and there is only this like few news, that we get out,and made majorly from the border towns, and in the, capital so the news that i got in recent, days is that it's just heartbreaking kim,jong-un literally, executed the main conductor from an,orchestra, for 90 times, after his execution if you shoot, somebody for 90 times, really especially these days those, bullets are so strong a human gonna lose,a shape, they are not even gonna look like a,human all is gonna, left is just a lot of pieces of,meat and bones uh on the ground and kim,jong-un demanded the soldiers, using a shovel to put and gather, what was remaining after the execution, and take them away, but during his public execution kim jong, ordered, every single artist go demand, watch this public execution i will tell, you why this man,the conductor got executed what could he,have, possibly done in this 23 getting get, killed in that, most cruel way this year on february,16th,that was a north korea is one of the, biggest holidays, that was when kim jong-il the second, king was born supposedly,so and there was something new happened, again kim jong-un his wife, little zoo who was disappeared for last,13 months, certainly reappeared on that birthday, and then, kim jong-un took her to visit his, father's grave in the morning, and afternoon attending this performance,by this orchestra,it's called, and often we think it's like north, korea's girl group, but yeah so this group is designated to,have a performance,in front of kings and there's a huge, orchestra and there's a main conductor, and the man who died was tohonu his name,is,zhou and he was a humble kid, after each these performances with kim, attending, north koreans all have to do this, gathering after, and assess and analyze which, part that kim kim jong liked the most, which part he didn't like the most and, learning and then, try to get better but in this time, sometimes, kim jong-un personally says oh i like hd,singer maybe i like this, part about the whole performance this, time kim jong-un said, somehow he really liked they did, something new magic with the shadow, magic,so they do some like tricks with the, shadow, and north korea and artists are trying, that for the first time this year, somehow kim jong-un was very impressed, impressed by it,however the in this delivery of the, meeting,in front of old artists people were, saying okay this is the part where, the deal leader liked the most so,letting the people know and there's some, prize,to get if you were liked by kim,but this conductor said i'm not even, sure that was no huge deal why would he,compliment on such a thing but it wasn't,like he was standing up and telling, everybody about that he was just like, more, talking to his like close friend in the, orchestra, and of course this friend was a spy and, reported on him, this is a tricky thing this happened to,actually my own mother,my mother uh when kim your son died the, first, came in 1994 i was like infant few month, old infant,my mom heard a rumor that the kim song, died, not from exhaustion by working for the, people, like literally north koreans told me the, region told us that kim song died, from exhaustion and hunger and, starvation, because he was working so entirely for,the people, but somebody told her that actually kim, died from heart attack, not from the exhaustion so she told her, best friend, saying can you believe there are such a,people saying, these kind of bad things about their, leader, and then that lady reported on my mom, luckily my mom survived, however this time in north korean, settings is like this, there are three people i am watching, this friend but while i'm being a spy,i know that i'm being spied on by,somebody else,so even if i'm being a nice person not, gonna report on this, person this person gonna report on me,but if that person who doesn't report on,me someone got, deported on them so you are being spied, and spying on somebody, this system creates complete distrust, between people,we cannot even trust our own bag in,north korea, joyouni he spoke to his friend about, like he wasn't too impressed by the, shadow, magic and he reported and kim jong un,got so upset,so he said gather every single artist in,pyongyang, and once they got gathered he demanded,to shoot him for 90 times s

Pete Sampson on WatchND Signing Day Show

Pete Sampson on WatchND Signing Day Show

welcome back to watching these exclusive, live coverage of signing day 2014 for,the fighting irish football team and, joining us now here on our fidm studios,is Pete Sampson of Irish Illustrated who, spends much of his year covering Notre,Dame football recruiting in fact he has, gone out in the road and I guess the, best test is the eye test you've seen, about half this class in person so from, the folks that you've seen I'll let you, decide who to talk about first who's,really stood out to you when you saw, them play this past fall you know I,think the guy that impressed me most in,terms of just the eyeball test was, probably Alex bars i drove down to,Nashville before the season started to,see his opener place for montgomery bell, academy down there just physically so,well put together he's very striking, with just how big he is looks like a,college offensive lineman right now and,in a superior athlete too I think when, you're looking at guys who are 300,pounds who were also very good, basketball players he takes boxing, lessons light on his feet good athlete, during his senior season you actually, think return to fumble about 80 yards, for a touchdown reminiscent slight, leaves to find to it in Ireland a couple, years ago that's hard to see you don't,see offensive linemen at the high school, level that are that good of athletes so,he's a guy that really struck me out of,the gate you know our folks watching on,to watch indeed just got to see Justin,Brent talk a little bit I mean he's,really bulked up since I saw him at the, beginning of the fall season your, thoughts on him yeah that's a that's a,great compliment to Notre Dame's,evaluation because when they offered him,it was the summer going into his junior, year I saw a medic combine that summer, down at champagne good-looking player, didn't blow me away Notre Dame makes the, offer really ahead of the game there, then all of a sudden junior is great he,turns into a rivals100 prospect got, played at the the rivals five-star,challenge in Chicago got an invite to,the under armour all-america game even, though I didn't play down there and,he'll finish is the highest-ranked,receiver that's signed with no name, under brian kelly so just a really, dynamic athlete sir bob i don't like a,poor man's michael floyd in some ways in,terms of his physical strength,so maybe not that five-star future top,10 pick but really a player can come in,and help you right away even if he,didn't enroll early but the fact that,he's here now physically he is just so,very well put together high IQ high high, character kid too so I think he's a guy, that's going to fit naturally with Notre,Dame you know it's funny that you, mentioned Michael Floyd because Michael, birch who is the media relations, director for the football program was, just in here and he said the exact same, thing if he can come halfway three hours,of the way of Michael Floyd he's going,to be an awfully good one defensive, lineman J Hayes out of Brooklyn New York,is also considered to be a big pickup, for the Irish yeah J Hayes to me it's,like if you could take the personalities,of Captain Lewis more and Louis Nix and, fuse them together I think you'd have, somebody like J Hayes I was at Poly Prep,in Brooklyn egg it was right before the, michigan game and just sort of saw his, environment what he comes from great, story great personality kind of from a,rough area brooklyn as on scholarship at,Poly Prep and really appreciate over the, academic opportunities that he has there, knows that he wouldn't be signing with,Notre Dame today if he wasn't on,scholarship there and I think he's a guy, that if they needed to play him right, away maybe he could I before Brian Kelly, say on the lines is very difficult they, prefer not to do that but really a,big-time athlete competition in New York, you know certainly isn't like in Florida, but I really like what this guy brings,to the table big 64 kid a big, personality and I think he's somebody is,really going to buy in a big fan of my,kelson who did who did a nice job, recruiting him and certainly Notre Dame, has really become today's tight end you, across the country and they got another, good one in Tyler lua 20 from La Mirada,California yeah he was a guy that Notre,Dame targeted very early I think this is,one of Brian Kelly's first visits after, the 2012 regular season he gets out on,the road in sees high school senior year, the team struggled a little bit he was,at the under armour all-american game,he's cut from a little bit of a,different cloth than someone Notre,Dame's other tight ends more of a,shorter maybe a throwback type of tight, end but certainly has a lot of athletic, ability saw him over the summer in,Chicago at the rivals five-star,challenge just just a good athlete I,think he's a guy that maybe could help, you in a few different positions, offensive line always so critical and,Notre Dame really,a good job getting some good offensive, linemen you got to see Sam must defer, out of only Maryland yeah another kid I,saw this summer in

“Hey Pete, what are you doing?!” (Rebuilding Tally Ho / EP89)

hi,my name's leo and i'm a boat builder and,a sailor and i'm on a mission to rebuild, and restore this 111 year old, classic sailing yacht tallyho so happy, new year,we are still planking of course and it's,going very well, now in the last episode we really got to,know, the volunteer crew a little bit better, and in this episode we're going to get,to know pete a bit better, now pete stein is an independent, shipwright he's been working with me,here on this project, for quite a few months now and as many,of you have noticed he's a,extremely hard worker very talented and, quite a character, and in fact my uh hey pete what are you, doing line, has become probably the most popular, line,on this channel certainly recently and, people are always interested to hear his,uh grudging, explanations of what he's doing so,he's got a pretty wild backstory, actually and he's very interesting guy,um and so i figured it was about time we,got to know him a bit better,so this episode has been mostly telling, his story,a little bit of it anyway and a little, bit of boat building here,as well,so i've just pulled over for a second, but i'm on my way to port townsend, and uh the rest of the crew are already, there because today we're going sailing, now we've had a bit of time off over, christmas bit of time off over new, year's,and it's been really nice to have a bit,of a break it's allowed us to do a few, more fun things, like this um so today uh pete's taking,us out on his boat he's got a little, gaff sloop that he keeps in port, townsend,so we're gonna take it out and um sail a,bit around the bay down there, now most of you guys probably know i've,done a bit of sailing, but um i am very much going to be,staying out of the way today,uh it's not my boat and i don't want to,step on any toes so i'm just going to be,documenting, the process today i just realized what i,said about toes, but uh anyway we'll be documenting the, process today, and uh in this video in general um i'm,gonna be staying, behind the camera behind the scenes a,bit and um,really just focusing on the other guys, okay it's a little rough around the, edges you know but so am i,yeah we'd rather not have to do a man, overboard drill,um we'll store the life vest up forward, under the foredeck,or back in the stern there um,so uh uh,yeah it's not a it's not a drill if,there's someone in the water right,no that's yeah it's not a drill that's,cool um,that's an emergency rosie and rowan, you can be in the boat you're gonna be,beholder honors, man are you excited yes i'm very excited, hopefully i don't go swimming yeah,i think there's much chance of that yeah, not a great deal of wind, yeah you never know, man i sure hope someone knows what, they're doing,i'm not convinced this is the third time,i've taken this boat out actually so,huh, there's still a little bit of uh oh that,oh this is what this line does i,remember, there's somebody at the stern, and then we're going to need fender at,the bow of this boat, right where rosie is now,hey stop rowing first,i can't just wait until we have to come, back, and the current and wind are against us,okay, looks like a break,no i feel a little bad,you guys helping clean up is that what's,happening yeah we don't want to,david you missed a spot over there what, you missed a spot, well thanks pete okay yeah no problem, that was fun when it's warmer too, yeah and it's windier we could go,windier,yo but it's awesome she she went really, well yeah it moves pretty well, even in even when you're in light light, breeze out there you still, with some headway,a little bit about my boat my boat's,name is truant, which is the also the design name, there's five or six of them built, mine's the the first one built at the, northwest school of wooden boat building, which is now in port hadlock washington,it's a 26 foot overall, fan tail gaff calf rig sailboat,it was built in 1994,but designed by a local guy here in port, townsend named ed lashard,it's a little adventure boat mostly a,day sailor but you can take it out for a,weekend,go camping so right now i'm in port, townsend boathaven, which is a fairly large and very much a,working boatyard, and pete's workshop is here so we're,going to be checking with him having a,look at his workshop, and we're also going to be checking in,with the fort townsend shipwrights co-op,who are of course doing the western, flyer restoration and, having a look at how they're getting, along with that, okay here we are uh pete sign intro, number two been on the project for a,while, but uh here we are in my natural setting, this is my shop,in uh the port townsend boatyard over in,port townsend washington,i've had this building for a little over,a year, october 2019 i was working at the port, townsend shipwrights co-op,where they're doing the western flyer, restoration,i ended up leaving that gig to start my,own, business pretty much and i'm in the i'm,in the port, townsend shipwrights co-op original, building,so from um from 1984,1985 um a handful of the shipwrights,um who started the co-op built this,ti

Teens Mock Boy At Burger King, Don’t Notice Man On Bench

Teens Mock Boy At Burger King, Don’t Notice Man On Bench

teens mock boy at burger king don't,notice man on bench,we all know bullying huge problem all, over the world it's been happening, before the word even existed, picking on people for no reason and, dumping all your personal frustrations,on them is something we see around us,fortunately, bullying is now a subject many of us are, aware of and the trend of standing up to,bullies and having others support you is,on the rise, take for example this boy's experience,at his local burger king, robert is a quiet and studious teenager, like most teenagers he loves to play, video games and watch movies,he lives in florida in a residential, community, unfortunately after school one day, robert's outing to a local burger king, for a lunchtime treat turned into a,nightmare for him,why because of the bullies, for some reason a group of teens had, recently turned their eyes to him that, spring, for weeks it seemed that every time and, everywhere robert went after school, they were there to bully him but robert, was a tough kid and didn't let the name, calling get to him, that was until one day the bullying took,a scary turn, robert was sitting at a table by himself, eating a whopper and some fries, all of a sudden the same three teenage, boys came out of nowhere and approached, him,to onlookers it probably looked like, they knew him because they went directly,to him,but their demeanor though friendly on,the surface hid some dark undertones, that would soon reveal the teen's true, nature,a kid one of the teens jeered, recognizing him,but before robert could react the group,of nasty teenagers sat down at the table, cornering him leave me alone he,protested to no avail, what you got there the bully continued, eyeing robert's food, little did he know they were all being, watched, while the interaction between the teens, and robert was occurring a man was, taking notice,he was sitting on a bench near where, they were sitting chowing down on some, fries, but as the teasing escalated he turned, his attention toward the four boys,at one point one of the older teens, snatched robert's drink and maliciously, ported all over robert's lunch, that's when the man decided to act as,the boy tried to fend off the three, bullies as they began to get physical, with him,the man stood up gentlemen he said, what are you doing the teen seemed, startled to be interrupted by a stranger, just playing sir said their leader but,the man definitely was not buying it,you got a problem he asked the teens, why are you picking on him the boys were, stumped and didn't know how to answer, his question, just playing the teen repeated in a low, voice, his demeanor had changed and now he was, standing with his head down, clearly uncomfortable the man's words, were having an effect, don't you think your parents would love, this you guys getting arrested for, picking on your classmate the man, asked them you think they'd be proud of,you, the older boy had no answer but to offer, but a quiet no,sir the man then turned to the other two, teens, who had been conspicuously silent why, didn't you guys stop him,the man grilled them you guys want to be,part of this, again a no sir satisfied that his, message had come across,he turned to robert are you okay he,asked him,why don't you take your lunch and we'll,go over there he said, offering some company he then asked the, teens to leave, but there was still had one more thing,to do that would really slam the message, home for these teams, unbeknownst to the kind man who helped, robert the entire incident had actually, been orchestrated by burger king and no,bully,an organization dedicated to raising, awareness, the franchise aimed to create a,thought-provoking social experiment to,show the behavior of people when, confronted with difficult situations, little did anyone in the restaurant know, that there was another form of bullying, going on in the restaurant the day,in addition to the teens bullying the, lone boy the employees also began to,bully the burgers they were serving, before they wrapped them up and served, them they smashed the burgers with their, fists, the video elicited countless reactions, and sparked a national conversation, about bullying, but how did the diners react to being, served smashed burgers, the customers responses to the bullying, going on right in front of them versus, the bullied food they were served are, very telling, and indeed heartbreaking there were a,few people who decided to intervene and, help the bully team but sadly, while 95 percent of people spoke up,about their smashed burgers, only 12 percent were decided to stand up,to the bullies, titled bullying jr the video's purpose, was to see how people would react when, they saw a child being bullied, the video clearly hit a nerve reaching, over 8 million views on youtube to date, the campaign also attracted a lot of,attention on twitter thankfully,it wasn't just the one man who stood up,to the bullies, the experiment was conducted two other, times and even though there weren't many, people willing to step in,there was one truly heartwarming mome
