This guy has been ‘famously’ wrong: Brit Hume

all these failed predictions now joining,me with his take Fox News Chief, political analyst Brit Hume Britt what a,pleasure to have you here thanks well I,I want to ask you a question about the, house at the end of this segment but, let's start with this guy and what he,says why is 60 Minutes rehashing this, stuff we know it's his his predictions, always fail, well I think you said it earlier David, when you said 60 Minutes is the product,of the liberal culture it didn't all it,hasn't always been quite that way, although I think it's always tilted at,least a bit left but now it's it's out, there with a you know with the woke mob,and for them to put this guy on I mean,it isn't David just that this guy's been, wrong he's been famously extravagantly, wrong and never more so than back in the,80s when he made a bet with a with an,economist named Julia an economist named,Julian Simon uh about the what's going,to happen in the decade ahead and, ehrlich's view was doomsday uh that all, these commodity prices were going to go,to the moon and scarce resources were, going to become more scarce we're all, going to die and all that so Ehrlich, said I mean Simon said earlier okay you, pick five Commodities and I'll bet you, that their prices don't go up during the, during the 80s so they made a bet for, that over the 10 years early pick five I,think it was copper chromium nickel tin,and tungsten or like that those prices, were all going to go up over the decade, and and Simon took the BET and every, single one of those prices declined yeah,I mean he would I mean he was 100 wrong, times five so well and it was a very, famous it was a very famous episode yeah, yeah and and by the way the the reason, the prices went down is because there, was new availability that people didn't,know about then for example he was also,Eric was also predicting that we'd run,out of oil as a lot of people have uh,and in fact he didn't see fracking, coming which provided this whole new the,the thing is is that the greatest, resource in Julian Simon was famous for, this is the human resource that's the,one resource that you don't have to,worry about running out of human beings, will always come out with new ways of,finding things that we need and if,because of that faith in human beings, and the marketplace you can't go wrong, yes it's the incentive of profit so,that's why there's an old saying that, the solution to high prices is high, prices people will go out chasing the, higher prices uh Commodities, particularly in energy where you know it,sounds paradoxical but in energy uh it,is it is not the supply that determines, the price how much it is the price it,determines the supply because the higher, the price the more different kinds of,oil can be can be profitably brought to,the surface uh uh you know and and, refined and sold as product so you know, this this he's been along every time, yeah and by the way food we have to,mention food because he said that the,the world at three and a half billion, which it was back in 68 when he wrote, the book the world would be running out,of food well in fact he didn't see the, technology coming for for these, satellites to to tell when to to water, certain parts of the field get more also, the new fertilizers that came out new, ways of producing food we have fewer, people starving now than than we ever, had in the world so he was dead wrong in,that and I think there's another aspect,to this which is that the the the, liberals who want an expansion of,government are happy when people are, panicking about something and maybe the,Panic from the pandemic was going down,so they had to revive another panic,we'll never know I have to ask you, though Britt about what's happening, inside the house we only have about a,minute to talk about this but have you, ever seen such a mess in a house no I,never have this is pretty this is pretty, dramatic and pretty messy,um and I listened to all of that, interview with Russ vote about you know, what what they're trying to achieve it,would be one thing David if they if,these this group of 20 or so had a,candidate who had a chance of winning, any chance of winning so far and in what, six ballots now yeah uh nobody's got, more than 21 votes McCarthy gets the, overwhelming majority at some point you, have to say,um we're trying to be the talent wives, the dog I've seen these kinds of stunts, usually it happens you know David when,in a close vote in the Senate where one, member will end up being the Swing Vote, that was decided and he or she gets a,lot of Leverage for a period of time, this is the same idea I've rarely seen,it done on a scale like this you know, they've shut the government down in the, past when they had some leverage like, this in the house and that's never, worked out well 10 seconds is it,possible that we could get a compromised, can of somebody like Steve scalise as,possible it's possible to be Steve, scalise because he has probably a real, following but I these it's not really, clear that that would be enough of these, people yeah all

let's bring in fox news senior political, analyst brit hume brett i you know i,hear this story and i just think,i've heard this before, boy have way ever i mean from the, beginning, epidemiologists and other leading, experts said, that young people particularly young, children, were very nearly invulnerable to this, disease and yet we closed down the, schools and colleges for the longest, time we closed down businesses, regardless of whether the people working,in those businesses were young or old,all of this in the name of trying to,prevent the spread of this disease and,yet look at how many people died from it,anyway there was a total failure all, along the line to look carefully at the, side effects of the measures that were, being taken to fight the disease and the, collateral damage was terrible i mean we,know about it in educational terms we,know about it in medical terms and, because people couldn't get appointments, that couldn't do regular health care, operations were postponed cancer streets, that weren't done the list goes on and,on and the damage is only now being, toted up i'm glad it is finally being, toted up and people at last beginning to,see, that we did the wrong thing there it is,amazing to see the stats being talked, about openly they were not for a very, long time the cdc acknowledging, where this was a public policy, miss in large part but also politically, here's president biden talking about at,that point florida governor ron desantis, and what he was doing, about covid in florida take a listen,i say to these governors please help, but you aren't going to help at least, get out of the way,use your power to save lives, now this was about kids and masks this, was about the danger to kids, there are people who say we didn't know,as much back then but there were a lot,of people who knew a lot about stats at,the beginning and yet it was a political, you know, weapon at times,it started out in some respects brett it,was the reaction to kobud was very much, along the lines of how people reacted to,donald trump if they didn't like trump, they were all for the measures to fight, covid and for bl and to blame him for,not doing more and to blame others like, governor desantis in florida who who who, regulated with a much lighter hand than, other governors did and ended up with no,worse results and he didn't shut down, the schools he didn't shut down his, state to nearly the extent that others, did and he came out in about the same, place or by some measures even better so,the covet alarmists in many respects, turned out to to have the wrong, prescription uh these these viruses do,spread,uh the phrase i heard again and again, during this period is virus gonovirus, and it did regardless of the measures we,took and those measures did uncalculable, damage and quickly britt um i'd be,remiss if i didn't ask you you're in,pennsylvania you've got this big primary, coming up tomorrow we had one of the, senate candidates obviously on the show, earlier,a big deal there in that state, yeah it is brett it's a very big deal, because of the worry among republicans, this season is that they have this, tremendous opportunity to regain control, not just of the house but also the, senate and the number of governorships, the governorship is up in this time, around and trump has come out with an,endorsement over the weekend that a lot,of that was done apparently without, consulting the republican leaders, they're not happy about the guy he,endorsed they think he's too far out, that he couldn't win in the fall and, they'll handle and hand the,the the state house uh governor's chair, back to the to the democrats to keep it,and on the senate side,he's inducted he's endorsed dr oz who,may well win,uh but the fear is that he can't be,elected elected in the fall and that the, trump heavy hand here will end up,hurting the party uh instead of instead,of bringing it to closer to victory and,the interesting thing about it is that, the agenda nearly all these republicans, have up here in both races is very, trumpy so you know you're going to get,the trump agenda no matter who you vote, for the question is whether they'll vote, for somebody who can actually win,all right brent as always thank you,hey sean hannity here hey click here to,subscribe to fox news youtube page and, catch our hottest interviews and most, compelling analysis you will not get it,anywhere else

‘Biden is Senile!’ - Brit Hume Calmly Educates Outraged Fox Panel

‘Biden is Senile!’ - Brit Hume Calmly Educates Outraged Fox Panel

that yeah joe biden's an old man,but she will be there as a force and of,course people believe because biden is,obviously,to some extent at least senile and may,not be you know, equipped to to go the distance that she, might become president,uh sooner rather than later and so she,so her speech is important and a lot of,spotlight will be on her more, than would normally be the case with a,vice presidential nominee vice, presidential nominees normally don't,matter much, this particular one matters a lot,it bri do you think this is a legitimate, like, issue in the campaign for people because, they're both septugenarians or is it,just because they're both talking about,it what's driving it,i think it's it's an issue because the, mental faculties that the president of,the united states, whoever that person is is obviously an,issue, you you want to elect somebody who's you, know who's who's,fully on top of things uh and, look to some extent at times joe biden, has shown that he's non-compass menace,he forgets where he is he's always made, gaffes, harris make no mistake about that i've,known him since he first came to the, senate that was a long time ago,it gives you an idea how old we both are,i'm about the same age as he is,uh he's always made gas for example when,he said we all remember when he said you, know that that, poor kids or everybody is smart or able,or whatever as white kids, poor kids are just as bright and just as,talented white kids, wealthy kids black kids asian kids, that was a classic biden gaffe, unfortunate you know what he kind of,know what he meant,he didn't mean to say anything that, sounded racist but it did that's,classified, but when he's in keene new hampshire and,is asked by a local reporter how he,likes the place, and he says he likes the place what's,not to like about vermont,i love this place so,look what's not to like about vermont in,terms of the beauty of it,that's a guy who's forgotten where he is,and it happens look i'm the same age as,he is i have, times at times recalling names and, places and so on,uh trump he may have mental problems but,he doesn't seem to be senile,um but you see when you see him you look,at a poll, like the one that you just referenced, that's a reflection not so much of,anybody's serious uh analysis,of the mental acuity of the two, candidates it's it's it's about what, they think about them, they don't like that people who don't,like trump are going to say he's worse,or worse, mentally than uh than biden is,no all right and and in both those, accounts yours yours included in all of,that,we are not doctors and um maria i want,to get your response, yeah i think for those of us who've,worked with and know joe biden for a,long time this accusation that he's,somehow, senile or losing his mind is just so,offensive,we are not doctors harris and every time,a democrat, talks about donald trump forgetting, words not being able to read from a,teleprompter, making mistakes that anyone should not, make,in that position republicans jump all, over us and they say wait a second, you're not a doctor you're not a,therapist,so i think we need to be very careful in,this election cycle, not to throw around words like senile, about people that we are watching on a,television screen, and i think that for those of us who, know joe biden, like it is this is a very tricky subject, and we all should be very careful which, people have been telling me for years, when we talk about donald trump so let's,just all be careful here because, that accusation is a pretty strong one, maria, yeah go ahead the word senile is not a,medical diagnosis,it is a it is it refers to people who at,a stage in life, exhibit signs of old age in terms of,their memory and mental acuity,it's not something you need to be a,doctor to notice joe biden has it to,some extent i have it people our age do,and the question arises is whether a man,of his age, who's starting in the way that people, inevitably do late in life to lose it a,bit, should be president of the united states, this does not require a team of,psychologists and psychiatrists to come,in and make a medical diagnosis,it is a reasonable layman's conclusion, from the evidence that is very clear, before us,it is so important to have these kinds,of discussions with each other, because this is what voters are talking, about and if you think they're not as,britt and i were both talking about, they're willing to respond to some, polling where they might not respond to,other things,in polling so i'm glad we got into it,thank you for listening,i look forward to having your questions,at another time but i'm off to another, event

Latest 'Twitter Files' release reveals a 'core problem': Tech expert

Latest 'Twitter Files' release reveals a 'core problem': Tech expert

the first Twitter files of the Year, exposing more of the company's,relationship with America's intelligence,Community journalist Matt taibi, reporting how the FBI largely Twisted,Twitter's arm into finding Uh,post-election Russian collusion that, simply was not there or causing a quote,PR CR crisis in 2017. now Twitter, eventually evolved into creating its own,Russian task force to combat what it,deemed to be misinformation joining me,now competitive Enterprise Institute, director of Center for technology and,Innovation Jessica malugin Jessica good, morning to you and great to have you on,this morning let me ask you about the, significance of this new information,we've received, well I mean I think what it shows really,is what's the core problem here right, the core problem isn't the decisions, that these private companies make about, what they want to show and what they're,concerned about the problem is when the, government gets involved in pressuring, them to make those decisions when it's,not politically advantageous to that,Administration or that member or that, unelected bureaucrat in some cases, really the concern here for Americans, should be that government shouldn't be,influencing speech on social media, platforms if this happened you know if,they were contacting the New York Times,or the Wall Street Journal like this,we'd be outraged and there really, shouldn't be much difference here these, are you know these are not just these, are not the sorts of things that these, agencies should be involved in but it,raises a big question when you see, evidence of this that the agencies are,in fact doing this and you wonder,um you know they may or may not be doing,it elsewhere but you sort of wonder how,the boundaries are being broken here in,some ways and it's kind of like it makes, you feel like you've got to put the, genie back in the bottle right, well that's exactly right and I'm,hopeful that with the new Congress we'll,have some oversight here we'll have some, hearings we'll have some investigations, and this is a national discussion that, needs to happen social media is still, relatively new to all of us even though,it feels like it's we can't imagine life, without it it's still something that's,new and those are new boundaries that, need to be drawn we need to go back to,First principles here and we need to,keep government out of influencing, speech that's one of the founding, principles of this country and we just, need to move those same rock hard, principles into the digital age well the, files also showed that Democratic, congressmen elect Adam Schiff attempted,to get New York Post columnist Paul,Sperry's account suspended it came after,January 2020 article where he discussed,a comment over heard from a trump, whistleblower about how to remove Trump, from Office, your reaction to Schiff getting involved,he also um reached out to Twitter with, respect to um accounts that were you, know potentially harassing some of his, staff members as well so he really was,in the Weeds on this, yeah it's just completely inappropriate, right I don't think anyone on either, side of the aisle wants our elected, representatives telling these companies, what they can and can't do because it,you know the incentives are too great, for self-preservation right the, incentives to become re-elected and to,protect yourself as a politician we all, know this we all know that this is just, part of being in Congress and we have to,have safeguards up for that we count on,the press to be a mitigating factor in,that and we should count on social media, platforms to ignore these requests and I,think Twitter was resistant and said to,him you know we don't do that and that's,what we should be looking for that's one,of the great things about these files, coming out is we can see Who's acting, correctly as a private company and who's,giving in to politics,um that that's something we should, always be on guard against, one of the most concerning things about, one of the Twitter files from late last,December to me is this idea that the FBI,gave Twitter how many millions of,dollars in order to give them, information preempt it seems like the, hunter Biden laptop story but you know, the partisanship of it aside what can,Congress do in the future to make sure, the FBI isn't giving private companies, money in order to censor speech is that, something that's in the realm of,Congress to curptail, yeah I think so for sure I mean Congress, one of the most important things,Congress can be doing and should be,doing more of and hopefully we'll be,doing more of is oversight this is their, responsibility to make sure that there, isn't this sort of tomfoolery going on,uh and this is what hopefully we'll see, more when when Congress gets itself, settled whenever that is and gets to,work this is really important you know, this is exactly the sort of thing that, has the downstream effect of people, losing faith in their institutions, that's terrible you know we should be,confident in our law enforcement that, they're protectin

Brit Hume rips Jan. 6 hearing: A ‘televised press release with soundbites’

Brit Hume rips Jan. 6 hearing: A ‘televised press release with soundbites’

bringing our senior political analyst, brit human on monday britt nice to see,you and good morning thanks for being, here today um thanks bill nice to see,you both yeah thank you the first of six, some have said there might be seven or,eight uh but let's just say six for now,how do you think this is playing after, night one last week and more today, well it's a little hard to tell bill, this last this one last week was, absolutely extraordinary because the, normal way in which you conduct a,hearing whether in court or on the halls,of congress is that you have members of,both sides of different viewpoints and,the witnesses are, are, are put on to do their testimony and, then their testimony is challenged by,cross-examination,there were no such witnesses last week, except for a couple, what there was was really kind of a,televised press release with sound bites,i've never seen him quite like it in my,life and i certainly never imagined back,in the day when i was working for one of,the broadcast network's news divisions, that such an event would ever be put on,prime time television by one of the, networks and in this case it was done by,all of them quite remarkable one of the, democrats on the committee jamie raskin,he admitted, what basically is they're trying to do,here in this hearing watch, our entire investigation is a referral,of crimes both to the department of,justice and to the american people i'm,going to try to observe that, attorney general garland is my,constituent and i don't browbeat my,constituents i think that he knows, his staff knows the u.s attorneys know, what's at stake here,so,knowing that that is the goal that the, state committee of the goal is referring,to the justice department and then if,that was the case and the justice, department does an investigation and it,continues on and on britt, well the justice department has a major, investigation going on of january 6 and,it has a long long list of defendants, who have been charged in connection with,it so it is clearly on the case and it,seems to me that it is entirely up to,the justice department whether to seek,to prosecute uh former president trump, but let's be clear about this dana, there was not really except for some, details a speck of news in what they the, committee presented the other day,the other night i should say what we had,was a,rehashing of events we already knew, about it,from my own from my own uh part i,basically agree with the committee's,conclusions that donald trump was, responsible for january 6 not so much by,what he may have said on that day but by,all of this nonsense he pumped into the, veins of his supporters in the weeks, leading up to it but the committee goes, one step further and you heard it early,on before the hearings were anywhere, near starting by benny thompson the, committee chairman when he said we came, quote critically close to losing our, democracy on january 6. that is an,extraordinary claim it is widely, believed i understand on the left, but i don't think the committee advanced,it very effectively and it certainly did,not allow for that viewpoint to be,challenged,as is normally the case in any hearing, either judicial hearing,or legislative hearing your first point,is well taken you had 20 million viewers, last week across all the networks, which isn't nothing but an nba game had,11.5 million viewers, and they have planned another prime time,uh hearing in about a week and a half, and all the network's going to take it,again today and we'll see,we're going to watch the ratings and the, viewership throughout this because you, know the committee members are doing the, same thing that stated you've got this, issue directed at amy coney barrett and, brett kavanaugh that's real and the wall, street journal writes about it this way,the assault on the supreme court the, justices are especially vulnerable to,acts of political violence in these, fanatical times then you look at the, amount of attention the big networks, gave the issue over the weekend on,sunday, the answer is zero, zero minutes given to the question as to,whether or not people like kavanaugh and,his family will be given protection, what's that tell you brett, well it tells me this, that the broadcast networks have placed, themselves by the way they cover things,at the service of one party the, democratic party,uh in the hearing the other night,so-called,there were two republicans both of them,hand-picked by democratic speaker nancy, pelosi in the meantime we have what, appear to be quite well we have one, obviously very real threat against brett, kavanaugh, and and the possibility of further, threats against amy coney barrett and, perhaps others this is a big deal or,should be the fact that it merits so,little coverage should tell people all, they need to know about what what kind,of news divisions and what kind of what, kind of uh attitude these networks have,it's really distressing to me as,somebody who worked for many years for,one of those broadcast networks news, divisions britt hume thank you so m

Brit Hume analyzes the potential outcome of midterms

Brit Hume analyzes the potential outcome of midterms

joining me now is Fox News senior, political analyst Britt Hume boy we've,been together for a long time good to,see you good to see you again so we've,been through some of those yes those,Corrections that we talked about it's,too early to tell of course but it does, feel like we're in for another if I said, that if I were judging this the way we,used to judge races before there was a,poll every 10 minutes just on the basis,of reporters observations I'd say this,is going to be a republican Wipeout the, conditions are set for it the issues all, favor in favor of the Republicans uh the,Democrats uh president is their their, president is unpopular is on his, approval rating is well underwater all, these conditions are right for a big, change but and the house it looks like, they're going to get it the house was, going to is almost certain to change, hands sent us a different story mostly, because of the map you know was this, something we've known from the beginning,it's no blinding Insight but but there, are 21 Republican seats being defended, this time and only 14 Democratic seats, which means that the opportunities for, pickups by the Republicans are much, fewer than you might expect in a,different cycle when a different set of,senators is up were up for uh for, reelection so it's the map is tough and, plus there's this in the house in,particular this matters in 2020 when,Trump lost the presidency to Biden,in the House Republicans were who were, forecast to lose seats did not not only, did they not lose a single seat they, gained 14 seats so some of the,low-hanging fruit available to,Republicans for pickup are off the table, all those people are already seated in,the house on the other hand you have the, wrong track poll and that's a,significant poll I mean people are, looking to to other details but that's,the one I track most closely in in the,2010 election the wrong track poll was, less than it is now more people now feel,we're on the wrong track I think the, numbers up to 71 percent so it is a huge, number of of people who are dissatisfied,in this country they want to change they,do and uh and you know what's,interesting to me is depending on,whether the Republicans win little or,win big it'll be interesting to see how, this President responds we've seen, presidents Clinton you cited earlier who, responded by beginning to do business, with the Republicans and he tacked but,Bill Clinton was a very very different, breed of cat you know he was used to,dealing with conservatives he came from,a conservative state of Southern State,Arkansas he was interested in a lot of,ideas including some conservative ideas,so he was intellectually more Nimble I,think than Joe Biden Joe Biden has, always been sort of whatever the party, was for and he has deemed these past, couple of years that the party was for, this leftist agenda that he's pursued, you know it's it's occurred to me more, than once David that the worst thing, that happened to Biden was actually, winning those two Senate seats in,Georgia which gave us the 50 50 thus 51,seat majority that he enjoys with the, vice president's vote if he hadn't done, that he wouldn't have had these visions,of hysterical sugar plums dancing in his, head that got him to think well wait a,minute I'm so far I've got a mandate I'm,going to be FDR I'm going to I am going,to out Obama Obama and that's brought, him to where he is and even even those, who were against Biden in the begin the, election in the general election didn't,think he would go this far I mean he's,always shown he he still calls himself a,capitalist by the way and although when, you look at his record it's hard to,defend that but but the economy right, now is on the verge of becoming an,industrial as a government-controlled,economy in many many spheres not least,of which of course energy I've always, thought David that for all the credit, that's given to the tax cuts that were, passed under under President Trump to,invigorate the economy that what really, was even perhaps more effective was the, light regulatory hand that was applied, during the Trump Administration and that, has all changed and that's what you're,talking about is a very rather very, heavy rate heavily regulated economy in,service to a green agenda that that I,think has brought us into no small, measure to the lower productivity we now, have to the energy problems that we're,facing and so on not to mention of,course the inflation and the Law and,Order issue which a lot of that is is,localized you know by depending on the, mayor you have and the governor you have, that that control Law and Order but the, border is a Law and Order issue that, that is controlled by the executives,it's not being controlled well I've,never seen it quite like it because it's,so obviously Lawless down there these, immigrants illegal immigrants are, streaming across the border you know, almost unresisted and there's no serious, ever being made to deal with the issue,or even really to acknowledge it and you, know I noticed you know you don't

Brit Hume makes 'big' prediction about Trump's political future

vice president kamala harris has been, criticized for opposing voter id,laws because she says rural people, cannot get photocopies,of their id cards in some people's mind, that means well you're going to have to,um,xerox or or photocopy your idea to send,it in to prove, you are who you are well there are a,whole lot of people especially people, who live in rural communities who don't,there's no,kinkos there's no officemax near them, last month president biden selected, harris to lead the administration's,effort to expand, access to the ballot box former, president donald trump, easily won the straw poll at the, conservative political action conference, this weekend,in texas the former president capturing,70 percent of the ballots cast, and firing up the crowd there with the, help of everyone here today we will, defeat the radical left the socialist, marxist and the critical race theorists,we will secure our borders we will stop,left-wing,cancel culture we will restore free, speech and fair elections, and we will make america great, again florida republican governor ron, desantis came in second in that straw, poll,at 21 let's bring in senior political, analyst britt, hume good evening brit i want to talk to,you about uh the former president and, where he stands as far as the power,in this party not just perhaps at cpac, but within the republican party, well brett i think he's going to be with,us a while longer maybe a,good while longer the strength in that, straw poll there now that's the most, conservative elements of the party,it isn't necessarily the sentiments of,the entire party but, there are not many republican, politicians today who want to speak out, against donald trump not because, they think that he should lead their, ticket in 2024,or that he could or that they can win, with him but because they believe that, his following is still sufficiently, strong in the party that they dare not, oppose him publicly, that is i think where he now stands when,he said in that speech you heard, that we just heard the last some of the, last uh phrases from that speech you, talked about we're going to do this,we're going to do that,it's not entirely clear if by we he,means the party and,him at the head of it or if he just, means the party i think an awful lot of,things are going to happen between now,and 2024 which will determine whether,he's in,in any shape to run or not but he's,still there and he's still,at the center of things and he's going,to make news and,get and and have attention wherever he,goes that's the fact,of life for republicans right and you, mentioned that speech let's take another, little piece of that uh this is again, the former president at cpac,i was banned by sleazebags i was banned,by bad people, they're far worse i don't say i'm,perfect but they're far worse than i am,i will tell you, they are far worse in other words the, entire system was rigged against the, american people and rigged against,a fair decent and honest election, but i've talked to a lot of republicans, who absolutely love, trump policies they love them but they, had a problem with, donald trump the man they also had as,far as what he did with twitter and how,he talked about things, but also donald trump on january 6th in,the wake of that,as he talks more and more about the, stolen election, how big a problem is that for, republicans as a party,i think it's a very big problem brett i,mean i think that i saw one poll not, long ago that reflects what you're just, talking about in which it was, people and the majority republicans said, they would like to win with his policies,a smaller number said they'd like to win, with him leading the way,and i think that's basically where the, matter now stands i think,a lot of rank and file republican, politicians and a lot of rank-and-file,republican voters wouldn't mind a bid if,he went away,uh they could then pick up his agenda, and run on it,the biden administration to date seems,to have left some plenty of,opportunities the president, the former president outlined a lot of,them in his speech on all kinds of,issues crime immigration, and so on down the list and so i think, the party feels it could be in a strong, position,um they're afraid to buck him but they, were they're afraid he'll lead him to a,defeat which is what they feared the, first time,uh and then he did lead them to defeat, the second time so,that's i think where they are um,and but he is it shows no signs of going, away,um we'll see what happens if you know he,gets indicted or something like that, that that might change the calculus,or he needs to spend his time uh keeping, his businesses together we'll see about, that as well, quickly that you mentioned the, administration they seem to be giving, republicans some low-hanging fruit with, the border, crisis there's some questions about the, economy obviously and about crime across, the country but vice president harris, you just heard that, talking about rural voters not being, able to get a photocopy of their id,they're now 70 plus percent of americans,
