this sounds absolutely,delicious it actually sounds kind of,like a,donburi or like a rice bowl,meets a spicy tuna roll without the tuna,something like that because you've got,sriracha and mayo and rice the thing,that i'm most curious about is her,technique for rewarming the leftover,rice so let's go ahead and make this,i've got about a cup and a half of,leftover rice normally i would just,sprinkle a little bit of water and then,nougat but emily uses an ice cube so she,places an ice cube right in the middle,i'm gonna put that much ice,and then uses a piece of parchment paper,and then microwaves it i'm gonna do,about a minute and a half,into the microwave,so while that's going i've got some,salmon emily uses some leftover salmon,that she has but i just bake this up,fresh i love baking salmon it's the way,that i make it the most at home this is,some beautiful norwegian atlantic salmon,and the way i cook my fish most often is,i preheat my oven to 350 degrees then i,season my salmon but in this case i,didn't i just kept it plain and then,place it into the oven for 9 to 15,minutes depending on the size of your,fish you know when the fish is done when,you insert a fork and it goes into it,nice and easily and there's no,resistance in the thickest part of the,salmon,i don't like overcooked fish so keep an,eye on it i usually check it first,around nine minutes or so this is about,a half cup of,salmon and i'm just gonna,flake it with my fork,i don't really have to use much effort,at all because,the salmon was just cooked and,oh my rice is ready okay let's see if,the ice has melted,ah,i have a little piece of ice right there,so we'll scoop that out but most of it,is gone,all right hot and steamy,gorgeous this is one of my favorite,bowls this is a bowl that i made when i,took a ceramics class when i was living,in japan i love this bowl i took a class,with arai sensei she lived just down the,street and would ride my bike there and,all the ladies that were there none of,them spoke any english and i didn't,speak very much japanese and it was just,a wonderful way to be a part of a,community even though i didn't really,know all that was going on but we were,all making ceramics together so somehow,that connected us despite the language,it was lovely in her video she warms the,salmon and the rice together because she,has leftover salmon but since i just,cooked mine and mine is still warm i bet,this would be delicious with tuna as,well like a can of tuna or mackerel or,sardines and now we're going to add,our rice on top,we're going to mix all that together so,that our salmon and rice are happy,i think the most surprising thing about,this recipe was the technique for,microwaving the rice with the ice cube,in terms of flavors these are pretty,typical i feel like my family and i have,salmon and rice pretty frequently emily,adds a little bit of shoyu or soy sauce,i am substituting suyu which is my,favorite seasoning right here we use it,on boiled eggs just love it so i'm gonna,add,about a half teaspoon of that not too,much,because it's salty and we can always add,more as my mother says,next we're going to add cupid mayo i am,almost out but not to worry because,i have backup,but let's get all this out of here if we,can and we're going to drizzle this with,mayo because mayo is so good,like that opposing direction we're hi everyone welcome back to my channel,in today's recipe i am going to be,showing you guys how to make the viral,salmon in rice recipe this recipe was,created by a young lady named emily,maricos on tech talk and i am here for,it hopefully you like it be sure to give,it a thumbs up if you did and let's,begin,if you would like to make this recipe at,home i will have the measurement in the,description box below for you guys so,first thing i'll be doing is cooking my,rice i am going to be adding in about,one cup of water to this saucepan here,once that comes to a boil i'm going to,add one tablespoon of avocado oil as,well as one teaspoon of salt,now i'm going to take one cup of rice,make sure you wash it and we're going to,add that in there,now once you're done adding your rice,give it a stir you are going to cover,this until it's nice and dry something,like this okay give it another stir then,we're going to cover it for another 15,minutes once your 15 minutes is over,this is your rice make sure you fluff it,out and set it aside now for the salmon,i am using creole seasoning obey,seasoning in paprika no salt or pepper,you are going to drizzle a little bit of,oil on your salmon then you are going to,generously season the salmon with the,seasoning blend,don't forget to season the sides of the,salmon as well and also the skin part,now in a hot skillet i am going to,drizzle about,two to three tablespoon of avocado oil,you can use whatever oil that you do,have in hand once that is nice and hot,you are going to place your salmon down,as you guys can see i placed its skin up,okay that salmon was,thick honey you need it to be nice and,cooked once that side is nice and golden,brown you are going to flip it which,typically take about five minutes on,medium low heat,so you don't burn it okay so now once,one side is nice and golden brown flip,it over and also i like to cook the side,of the salmon just to ensure my salmon,is nice and cooked through,all right because i'm using freshly,cooked rice i don't need to use the ice,cube method now i am going to take my,cooked salmon place it on top of the,rice then i am going to use a fork to,flake it until every symbol can fish,because i'm using,skin on fish i am going to remove the,skin you can eat that if you want it's,actually flavorful okay so now you're,going to mix the rice in the fish,together just like that,now i'm going to take some mayo now you,can add as much mayo as you like and,also i i will be adding in some sriracha,sauce on there as well and if you have,some kimchi you can also use some as,well but i couldn't find any so we are,going to mix that together just like,that,now it's time for plating one of my,favorite part of making videos i like my,plate to look nice and beautiful and,pretty and representable so we're going,to use some more of that mayo on top as,well as the sriracha sauce and also i,have some avocado we're going to add,that on top as well and you cannot,forget some nicely chopped,fresh scallion or green onions and also,i'm using some sesame seeds to just make,everything look,nice okay and also i almost forgot to,show you guys my seaweeds oh my god,first time trying seaweeds and i love it,i think i'm obsessed and i bought way,too many,so i'm sitting here eating them like,it's candy,but anyways i hope you guys try it i had,to try this on camera for you guys oh my,goodness it is,10 out of 10 recommend okay it's,absolutely delicious try it out let me,know what you think thank you for,watching i'll see you guys soon on the,next recipe bye,you

Super Easy Salmon Rice Bowl Recipe! Healthy Dinner Idea

hey everyone welcome back to my kitchen,for another recipe,today we're going to be making one of my,favorite quick recipes and it's a sweet,and spicy salmon bowl i love making it,because it takes less than an hour to,make it's super flavorful and it's,really filling and nutritious there's,basically three components to the recipe,first up we have coconut rice which can,easily be swapped for any steamed,jasmine rice second up we have our,salmon which gets cubed into small,little bites and seared in a pan with,tons of seasoning some honey butter,garlic it's absolutely delicious and,third we have the spicy mayo which is,super simple to make it takes less than,five minutes and at the end we'll throw,all this together into a bowl and that's,basically it so let's get started the,first component we're gonna start on is,our spicy mayo because it takes,literally like a minute to make and then,we can just store it in the fridge while,we work on the rest of the recipe here's,everything you'll need for the spicy,mayo mayonnaise sesame oil the hot sauce,like sriracha or sambal sugar,lemon juice mix it and that's basically,it it's so easy to make and it keeps in,the fridge for about a week or two just,make sure to cover it and put it in an,airtight container and that's exactly,what we're gonna do right now now we're,gonna move on to our salmon we'll need,about one pound for this recipe and,we're not using the skin so we're gonna,take that off first also if it's your,first time cooking and shopping for,salmon here's a few differences between,atlantic and alaskan salmon alaskan,salmon is caught wild so it's a little,bit more expensive and it's gonna have,that deeper orange color on the other,hand atlantic salmon is a much more,affordable option it's also lighter pink,in color and it's farm raised both are,delicious though and whatever you can,get is gonna work in this recipe to,remove the skin you'll need a very sharp,knife and you're just going to make a,cut right under the meat,once you can grab enough skin just like,this you're going to pull on it tightly,and start gliding your knife across,and the skin will come off just like,this then we're going to cube the salmon,into bite-size pieces,then we're going to marinate our salmon,with a few spices,okay so the salmon is done marinating,and we're just gonna let it soak in all,those flavors while we work on our rice,i always like to cook my protein at the,end that way it stays warm and we don't,have to reheat it which is only gonna,dry it out for the rice we're gonna be,using jasmine and we wanna make sure to,rinse it really well i'll pop an image,on the screen of my favorite jasmine,rice brand that i like to use,to make the coconut rice we're going to,start out by adding some coconut oil,butter and garlic to our picnic to make,this vegan just omit the butter and use,more coconut oil olive oil or a butter,substitute after sauteing the garlic for,one minute we're gonna add some water,and coconut milk then we'll add some,salt and sugar to make it a little bit,sweet and bring that to a boil once it's,bubbling we're going to add our rinsed,rice bring it back to a boil cover and,let it simmer for 15 minutes,after 15 minutes you'll turn off the,heat leave it covered and let it steam,for an additional 10 minutes after 10,minutes take off the lid and fluff the,rice,the rice is done so now it's time to,cook our salmon you want to get a large,pan and put it over medium-high heat,then we'll add a little bit of olive oil,vegetable oil or avocado oil when the,pan is hot we're going to throw in our,salmon,sear the salmon on all sides making sure,to turn it over with some tongs so that,it's golden brown all over at the end of,its cooking time turn the heat down all,the way to low and then you're gonna add,a little bit of butter honey and chopped,parsley toss that all together and the,salmon is done,all three of our components are done so,now we can assemble our bowls,and finally our last step is to enjoy,it's absolutely delicious and i know you,guys are gonna love this recipe and i'm,so excited for you to try it out if you,enjoyed this video make sure to give it,a thumbs up and of course don't forget,to subscribe so you never miss when i,upload a new video

delicious looking recipes so i,decided to try and eat exactly like her,for one day hello welcome back to my,channel i do not think i've ever been,this excited for one of these videos,before,because today i'm eating like the one,the only,emily mariko i've been very obsessed,with her for,the past few weeks now i just love,watching her videos they're so like,relaxing and calming and now she have to improvise a,little bit with that i think everything,will be fine,okay it'll be okay we've done this,before we we've encountered issues,before with these videos and we've,always come through,it might not be exactly as beautiful and,aesthetically pleasing as emily moreco's,salmon bowl but rest assured it will be,good and then obviously like she has so,many recipes and cooking videos on her,tech talk and her instagram,so,you know it was kind of just like i had,to pick and choose which ones i wanted,to do so,i'll show you guys what i'm going to,have but,first things first,i went to phil's,and,she has a video of her going to phil's,and ordering the i please get two,oatmeal cookies,sweet and creamy and,hot so that is exactly what i ordered i,ordered it with oat milk i'm not sure,what milk she uses i know that she does,consume dairy so maybe it's real milk i,don't know i've only been to phil's one,time before so this is my second time,going,and i already had a sip of it and it's,so good,like it kind of tastes like a chai like,a dirty chai latte so so good so creamy,so emily has like a few recurring,recipes or like foods that she eats,throughout the week obviously the salmon,rice bowl is like a weekly thing that,always occurs,um but she also eats these muffins that,have a soft-boiled egg inside and she,gets them from this cafe in san,francisco because she lives in the bay,area,and i actually did my research you guys,i,went above and beyond this time and i,found the cafe,and they have a youtube or like a,facebook video of them demonstrating how,they make,the soft-boiled egg muffins so i'm gonna,try to recreate that today i have made,soft boiled eggs before they're actually,super easy so i feel like that won't be,the hard part but i'm not the greatest,baker it's not my strength so,we will see they have the video of how,they make it but it doesn't have like,the amounts of everything so we're gonna,have to kind of just,wing it a little bit and,hope for the best okay so inside of the,breakfast muffins obviously there's eggs,like the soft boiled eggs but there's,also eggs in the batter so,i have a bunch of eggs here,um and then we have green onion said,fresh cut scallion breakfast sausages so,i'm gonna use the beyond meat sausages,these are super good if you've never had,them they're really good,um and then i have two different kinds,of cheeses,it said they have a parmesan it's also,said i think asiago but i'm gonna do,mozzarella because i couldn't find vegan,asian i don't know if they make that so,parmesan and a little bit of mozzarella,and then i have a little bit of vegan,sour cream because it said creme fraiche,um i feel like this is kind of as close,as that's gonna get,and then obviously like flour vegetable,oil and there's no sugar in it but a,little bit of salt but i think that's it,maybe baking powder maybe not actually,since there's so many eggs,okay so we have the breakfast sausages,eggs the cheese and green onion the sour,cream i got salt flour and olive or,vegetable,so i'm just winging this they had seven,eggs it looked like and i think i'm,gonna try to like have the recipe,because i'm assuming they're making like,a pretty big batch,so we're just gonna kind of see how this,goes,okay,okay so i think maybe my muffin tins,were like a little too small because the,eggs kind of are sticking out of the top,um,you guys i already knew that this wasn't,going to be as aesthetic as emily,mariko's but i didn't think they would,be,that ugly,but i'm hoping that,they'll still be good you know to eat so,i'm hey guys welcome back to another video,and it has been a while,um and i also wanted to say i hope you,had a good start to the new year,as you can tell by the video i am going,to be making a salmon rice bowl since i,thought it was easier for me to just,make a longer youtube video so you guys,can follow through,to start off this dish you're gonna need,some salmon and i actually buy my salmon,from asda um i've never really tried it,from anywhere else but considering as is,local this is where i get it from you,can season your fish however you like um,i like to keep it extremely simple so,first i'll start off by seasoning it,with some black pepper,after the black pepper and then added,some smoked paprika,so i normally add in chili flakes as,well but i didn't have any,next sprinkle the fish in some dark soy,sauce,and then after that has been good on,some sliced garlic cloves,i wouldn't really say there is an exact,type of,recipe for this dish to be honest you,know it's kind of more,go with the flow and use as much salmon,as you want,um,because yeah it's all up to you really,you can allow your salmon to marinate,but i just simply cook it straight away,so in a fresh pan which make sure it's,nonstick i added some olive oil,once it all has heated up add in your,salmon and make sure the heat is on a,medium to low,since the salmon is cut into small dices,you only need to cook it for around two,minutes on each side,so after the two minutes you can,actually see that the salmon is cooking,on the side you want to flip it over and,leave the heat on a medium to low and if,you want to cook it a bit more quickly,you can put it on fully heat but it,won't be cooked fully but it depends how,you like it really,after you flip the salmon you only need,around two to three minutes on a medium,to low heat,so after flipping the salmon i also then,added in the garlic as well and i would,have added at the start but then the,first time i made it i actually realized,that it was burning way too quickly so,if you add it in at this time it'll be,perfect and soft,just to be a bit extra and then flipped,over the salmon once more so all the,edges are cooked evenly,so after a good five minutes of cooking,with salmon um it's time to remove it,from the pan,so for the next part of the dish you are,going to need some sushi rice and i also,heard that you can use jasmine rice as,well,but i've never used it before so once i,do try it i will see how the texture is,after,making it,i can't really tell you how to make the,sushi rice because you'll be able to see,the instructions on the packet once you,buy it,speaking of rice i have actually been,asked a lot how i make my bold rice so,i'm definitely gonna be making a video,very soon this month for you,if it's more easy for you you can remove,the skin before you fry but i just,prefer to fry the fish first and then,take the skin off because as you can see,it's just so much more easy and simple,once your salmon and rice is done it's,then time to basically plate up your,dish,so,so for the sauces i'm using some,sriracha,i'm also going to be adding some qp mail,and to finish off i'm also using some,dark soy sauce you can use light soy,sauce if you'd like though,and the last thing you're going to need,is some seaweed and you can also,actually,serve this with avocado as well but i'm,actually just not a fan of avocados at,all i'm just not a fan of the texture,and how it tastes to be honest,but anyway um this is literally how the,dish looks it's really simple,and,the next part is you just mash it all,together and eat it,but yeah and this is the final part of,the video and i hope you guys enjoyed it,make sure to follow me on all of my,socials and there will be linked down,below and also there's a lot more videos,that will be coming to youtube very soon,but yeah i hope you guys enjoyed the,video i will see you in my next one

hey guys welcome to cook this salmon,rice ball got super popular on tick tock,and we're gonna make it right now,hello guys so my tech talk these days,has only been this i thought it looked,pretty good and also you're supposed to,eat it like this with the seaweed so i'm,like let's just make it i mean it's got,salmon so it's yet another reason for me,to spend a lot of money on salmon make,sure to stick around until the end to,see the easiest method to make the,juiciest salmon in my opinion but before,that let's start with our rice so i got,sushi rice which is just a short grain,rice that's pretty sticky i carefully,read all the instructions on the back so,i can relay them to you like it's some,sort of classified information,damn that's that,that's hard so this is 500 grams i need,about half of this so 250 grams in case,you didn't learn math that seems about,right and definitely rinse it give your,rice a ice cold a deep shower before,cooking it it's gonna help for sure i,think top your rice with 350 ml of cold,water and bring it to a boil and then,let it simmer on low heat for 10 minutes,with the lid on and then you're pretty,much done you got rice but we're gonna,enhance it i'm gonna season it sushi,style with five tablespoons of out of,frame rice vinegar and a teaspoon of,salt i mix all that up and i tasted it,to make sure it doesn't taste like ass i,can confirm it does not taste like ass,okay so i felt like this recipe lacked,acidity so i got myself some beautiful,radishes beautiful beautiful radishes,you know i figured i put this on so you,won't stare in my crotch dash of salt some rice,vinegar and some chili oil those little,bits are black means this is my,preferred chili oil i mix them up until,they got dirty and then i let them,pickle that's probably not correct or,scientifically accurate so yeah whatever,in there until everything else was done,all right we're almost done and that's a,small avocado what the heck and yeah i,cut up this avocado and man i love to,cut avocados it's so asmr,anyways yeah cut your avocados and lay,them flat like this because everyone,does it oh yeah and people use qp mayo,cupid,sorry japanese mayo but i wanted to make,a wasabi mayo by mixing wasabi and mayo,so i took some wasabi and i mixed it,with some mayo and i got wasabi mayo i,love this stuff alright now the stage is,set for us to make the juiciest salmon,together okay disclaimer this is,probably not the juiciest salmon ever,but it's a pretty easy and good way to,cook salmon so yeah sorry for the,hyperbole this is an expensive ass,salmon fillet but thankfully the budget,for this youtube channel is very broad,please subscribe so i cut this big piece,up into three salmon fillets to the best,of my ability i flipped them and i,personally think a good quality salt is,all you need for your salmon to be good,at the beginning and simple as that just,start by searing the salmon on one side,i prefer skin side down i know this,doesn't have a skin but where the skin,would be salt the other side and flip,the salmon once it's gotten brown on,that side and check this out i treat my,salmon like a steak so i dropped in a,huge thing of butter along with some,rosemary and then just baste your salmon,while your induction stove is having a,panic attack shut up,and at this point my heat is low and i,top my salmon with some lemon slices i,put the lid on and i just let it cook,for another say four minutes or so on,low heat and at the end you want to,slowly lift up your salmon so people can,see the browning look at that okay now,let's plate this because the avocado,must be like completely black at this,point so we start off with the rice heat,it up with a cube of ice no spice don't,think so sorry i got carried away for a,second but yeah microwave that and the,ice cube is actually not gonna melt is,pretty cool you know science is science,is sick very carefully place your salmon,then we got the avocado obviously and i,also placed my pickled slices using my,own two hands that are washed and then a,very sad attempt to drizzle the wasabi,mayo finish it off with sesame seeds in,an effort to save it before we dig in we,have to prep our nori so our dried,seaweed,and apparently this is how you're,supposed to eat it and i'm actually,super into this guys you know any dish,that requires significant finger,coordination i'm down for,i'm not gonna lie guys,this is incredible these pickles i'm so,proud of them i mean i'm not going to,call them pickles though,these things trust me guys you want to,make this it's really good i you guys today we're making a really fun,recipe that just went viral and tic tac,it is emily miracles,leftover sushi rice which is like a,sushi bowl it's really easy she's using,leftover salmon so that's what we're,doing so let's get started,you know we love easy recipes so this is,again one of the easiest i think we just,need a microwave right yeah so the idea,is to use whatever leftovers and we've,got salmon today what a treat so,leftover salmon,put in some rice and then in the video,in the tic tac video they put an ice,cube on top to add moisture when you put,it in the microwave,but,cat and i don't roll like that we just,sprinkle some water on top and we feel,like that works way better i'm gonna try,it so like the asian way to do it is if,your rice is cold or old or even if you,have fried rice you add a little water,because they don't add that moisture,back in and your rice won't be like hard,so you just really sprinkle water in and,you use your hand,like you wet your hand and then you just,sprinkle it with the fingertips,yeah okay so she's just nice cute,she puts an ice cube in the middle and,then she covers it up,okay so we're gonna stick it in the,microwave for a minute bring it out and,then we're gonna dress it up,out of the microwave but,my ice cube didn't fully melt,take it out,um if you have avocado you can add it i,got the avocado,and then we just covered um a big chunk,of it with soy sauce and then she also,has the cutie pie mayo just the japanese,mayo,this gives me a little bit of a cringy,feeling to add mayo to my rice,i guess i will i was thinking for a,second of not following the recipe,oh i think i put too much soy sauce in,mine,well you'll know when you eat it okay,and then you gotta add in the sriracha,that is the key thing because this is a,spicy salmon bowl so put it on i'm gonna,do a good layer,and then you just mix it all up so it's,like a sushi roll that exploded,it's pretty much what we made here right,we don't have to worry about form and,technique rolling and how presentation,is just like a bowl full of the goodness,that we like in a traditional squishy,roll except the salmon is cooked,that was it,okay so are you ready to try the tik tok,spicy salmon uh rice bowl,yes it's a mouthful okay,first question i have to ask,is why this went viral,because that was my question too,because it's okay,it's a smart hack right if you have,leftover salmon what are you gonna do,with it,i was like well let me just mix it up,with some rice and some sriracha and,some mayo,it's a great,sushi bowl,but why it went viral it's not like you,eat it and it's like the best thing,you've ever eaten it literally tastes,exactly what i expected to,which is good you should do it if you,definitely have this is leftovers but i,wouldn't go out of my way to make it i,don't know are we are we aging ourselves,like we're like oh my gosh like,this is everyday what is the,practicality of that viral clip right,like we're questioning yet no it's good,i guess it's just one of those things,like i didn't think to do it this way,hence the hack right,right,it is good i like it my salmon is good i,think that's what makes us good cause my,salmon is good as always we had fun,trying something new and i hope it,inspired you to try it at your home too,so thanks for joining and if you haven't,subscribed please do and we'll see you,next week,bye,give it to me
