The Many Careers of Natalie Rose (@nnapples on TikTok)

so,hey everyone and welcome back to another, episode of biz talk for tick tock, you have may seen this creator that i'm,gonna have on the show today, because you've probably seen her all, over your for you page doing all sorts,of careers, and, you know she's very very, interesting her name is natalie rose, she's got 2.1 million followers but she,is the ceo of clearly she is,a new career series that natalie is,featuring and you know we're going to,dive into that because this was most, likely by mistake so i really have to,hear this story a lot of us don't know, that story but this has led to a serious, virality success that natalie has seen, she has 52.7 million likes over on the, platform and most of those probably, contributed to this series that is,happening so i love to deep dive and, listen and see what's going on over, there so natalie welcome to the podcast, thank you thanks for having me i'm super, excited, yeah so okay clearly a lot of us that it,may have known and seen your channel, because, every little career change that you have, pops up on my 4u page and i was just so,excited and seeing what was happening, there funny thing is i saw the original, video that we did which will deep dive, but i love to know your success story, before this even kicked off what were, your intentions,of coming to tick tock was it just for,fun or,what's that, yeah, with tick tock i had joined the app, during, about the time when cove had started,um simply for the reason of finding a,creative outlet i was, doing a lot of,um,i was doing a lot of community theater, and i had been casted into a play, with the community theater and it had, gotten canceled because of covid so i,turned to tick tock, simply to just have some type of,creative outlet i was doing, about what everybody else was doing lip, syncing to songs dancing and i had no,intent of it going anywhere with my,account,at all, right so it was just like an outlet an,escape outlet during covid you know we,couldn't do our normal thing so you're,like let me come here and just do some, skills and share some things and just, have fun with it it wasn't you were your, intentions were i'm gonna come here and,go viral and uh gain 2.1 million, followers on the app correct, yeah okay so you're doing normal videos, which i've scrolled through you know and, you're doing like the typical tick tock, type things but you know me and you both, know tick tock has a really strange way,of,taking things and making it more um and,you were smart because there there's,some people that miss those, opportunities of kind of going like you, could have just easily done that one, video and that was it um but on i,believe it was, july 15th was the first video that you,did with the sound um you know my humps, like remix version there um,i believe that was kind of like a trend, anyways going around um to that sound, and you know you were just jamming out, with it looked like you know maybe a,co-worker or a friend,um wearing some scrubs, and um,so tell me about that video that was, just you having having fun with the app, right, yes i was with a friend, and i looked at her and i said,i have this idea,it's only gonna take you nine seconds of,your life do you wanna be in this video, with me and she goes sure yeah, and so i said just dance awkward i just, want it to be cringe i want you to dance, like an old grandma i want it to be,really subtle movements and, just just move and i just need you in,the background and one take and we,posted it and,the next day i had a million hits and i,thought, whoa what the heck and so,that's when i started getting the, comments um about people,at first they were kind of inappropriate, comments naturally and people saying oh,it's always nurses that are hot why are,the nurses always the one that have dump, trucks or she's got a dump truck and it,just was annoying and so i ignored those, comments yeah but then it was one, particular comment that someone had made, and they said something along the lines,of,remember when you're supposed remember, when you're a nurse and you're supposed,to be saving people's lives but instead, you're at work making tick-tock,and i am not the type of person to feed, into that type of,behavior yeah i may kill him with, kindness kind of person i don't want to,give him that attention but for whatever, reason that comment just, really squeaked my rubber ducky i was so,annoyed and so,i made a clock back video, and,in scrubs different friend and i just, held up a sign did the same dance and, that's like not a nurse, yeah, and it was at that moment when i saw how, much um,how many how many people were, interacting in comments,i'm actually trying to guess what my job,was and there were some legitimate, guesses people say well she's in scrubs, like she's not a nurse is she,an ultrasound tech is she a dental, hygienist you know there were legitimate, guesses but then the funny comments came,in and someone was like,no she's she's a plumber or she's a,janitor at a high school and i thought, holy crap, that i could do something with this,it wa

Bass Singer FIRST-TIME REACTION & ANALYSIS - So Hyang | Everyone

Bass Singer FIRST-TIME REACTION & ANALYSIS - So Hyang | Everyone

hello everyone and welcome back to my,channel my name is Peter Barber I am,primarily a professional opera singer, music producer and of course a bass, vocalist today we are getting back to,one of the absolute favorites on the, channel this is so hyong, singing her song everyone and this is,probably the most recommended Soho so,young piece that I've looked at so I'm,very excited to see what she does she, has,Beyond blown me away in past videos that,I've watched of her and I'm always very, excited to listen and and try to break, down what she's doing vocally,um guys this is a reaction and Analysis, video so I will be pausing to analyze, especially her vocal technique other, musical aspects of the arrangement and, other artistic choices she makes but, mostly I focus on vocal techniques since, that's really my area of specialty so if,you want to watch the video all the way, straight through I will leave a link to,that in the description go check that, out and then come on back if you want to,learn more about what she's up to while, performing,as always please do take the time to,like this video subscribe to the channel, very helpful and leave a comment for the, algorithm that's what's important, nowadays getting that specific kind of,Engagement so please do that and guys if,you're learning a lot if I'm enhancing, your listening experience if you find, yourself enjoying the music more after, listening to my commentary please do,consider joining my patreon for as,little as one dollar a month link is,also in the description below, and without further Ado guys let's see, what so hyong does on this piece, all right so so far just starting out, obviously a very intimate setting as far,as I can tell we have just you know very, light piano and a very light string, section Orchestra and we have Sohan, coming in on basically an um,like doing a little bit of very light, riffing,um her voice she's keeping a breathy, presence in her voice so not a lot of,tight vocal fold closure this is a very, nice way to start a piece in an intimate, setting and allow for contrast later and, when she puts in the the big high belts, the power belting and the vocal, fireworks that we're so used to hearing, from her,um so that's all we're getting here in,this first section it's a great place to,start, foreign,so I assume this is in Korean,um and again as we are progressing, through this first verse of this song,we're still getting light piano light, strings and she's taking this more, breathy intimate approach to her singing, but she is adding a little bit of,vibrato so we know that she's got a nice, consistent flow of air and a relaxed, vocal apparatus to allow for that sine, wave like vibrato meaning very, consistent vibrato,so he's doing a lot of very this is um a,style of attack with your phonation, phonation means your vocal folds are, coming together producing a pitch uh,musical theater modern musical theater, often and pop too really but especially, musical theater,it's very uh traditional and customary,to hit a note straight tone for a period,of time and then allow the vibrato to,come in later it kind of adds this, intensity and it keeps the actual, quality of the note changing as you, progress through a pitch as opposed to,just doing something and saying totally, stagnant so so young so so hyong uses, this in a lot of her vocal approach she, will start a pitch a sustained pitch off, straight tone and then she will allow, her vibrato to come in,foreign, like that chord progression,so now it gets exciting when you start,to hear start to move up into that high, chest range where she's,just such a Powerhouse vocalist,up to I think a B flat four so we're,nowhere near the top but you can already, tell as she ascends the vocal folds, start coming together much tighter, and less air is coming through this so,the sound goes from a breathy relaxed, sound to a much more efficient sound, that's really what's happening, foreign,up to an E flat five which, for sohyong not again still we're not, even into the extreme part of her range, this is very I would consider, comfortable for her still but belting an,E flat five in full chest voice is not, comfortable for most singers that's,actually a really high belt in chest, voice and she handles it so easily so,um,yeah nothing to nothing to scoff it,there I think singers like sohyung and, other other kind of freakish singers, like uh Glenn Miller for example bosso, profundo uh maybe Mason can throw a clip,of Glenn in here singing a low note,we start to think of we hear singers, like that and we get used to listening,to them that we think oh that's what a,bass sounds like or you know this is,what a pop singer sounds like when, really we are talking about the most, extreme examples of these kinds of,singers and so me as a bass I can't do,anything that Glenn Miller can do in his,low register his low chest range none of,it like I don't even have access to that, but I am still a base and he is a base, very different kinds of bases,um it's something I like to harp on,about when I'm mento

making DIY summer pinterest & tik tok trends! ✿ *beaded necklaces, bag charms, painted pottery*

hey guys, welcome back to my channel or if you're,new here welcome today i'm going to do,something super fun it's going to be a,diy video where i show you guys how i,make a bunch of trendy diys, that are like tick-tock inspired i'm,going to show you guys how to make some, beaded necklaces like these heated ones,so cute can i focus also back, charms and then some like painted faces, and, pots i will show you all the trendy diys, don't even worry before i start if you, guys are not yet subscribed, please subscribe because i'm trying to,hit 1k tell your friends about my,channel, like this video it'd be a fun like, summer crafting video, come make crafts with me let's get into,it,for the first diy we're going to make, the colorful beaded necklaces you see, everywhere like literally everyone is,making them it's like the new, summer trend they're literally so easy,to make basically you literally just, need any type of beads i have this whole, set of beads because i used to be,obsessed with making necklaces like, beaded necklaces like this, you can get beads for so cheap on amazon, michael's,the dollar store has a lot of beads also, from michaels i picked up just a couple,of these they were actually on sale, michael's had like a huge sale, and so i took advantage of that so first,i got these they're so cute, they're like these blue and purple beads, and they have such cute patterns on them, and the key is just to have like a bunch,of different types of beads so that it,looks very, random and then i also got these glass, beads they're just white mini ones, because i wanted just really small beads, and lastly i just got some pearls,if you go to michael's always use a,coupon period they're always giving out, coupons,i just got clear string you can also use, wire that will probably work better if,you want to be,professional with the necklaces you can, just tie it off with the clear string, but,i wanted to have to like tug it so i,have lobster clasps i already have these,at home, you're gonna need this like one for each, necklace to close it off and then also, jump rings you don't really need those, you can literally just tie it with, like the string but i wanted to be extra,it would help if you had pliers but, again not, necessary just an extra step so that's,everything you need and let's,get into making them to start making, necklaces you are just going to tie it,on your string,um i double knotted it and then i just, started to put the beads,on in random order i did blues purples, greens and pinks and then i also put, some pearls in and like some white glass, beads, and then as you can see i finished it um,off by just tying a knot at the end,and i did like a triple knot to make, sure it was really secure,so now bear with me here it's gonna get, kind of tricky when you're tying off the, necklace you could just like, tie the two ends together but then uh,when you put it over your head you're,gonna have to stretch it out which i,didn't want to do,so i'm using jump rings you don't have,to use them, but i wanted to be able to clip the, necklace, together so i took one of my jump rings, and i just made,a triple knot around the jump ring so,that,um the jump ring would be able to stay,at the end of the string, and then i actually put another jump, ring and just tied that together,it's a little confusing but honestly, you're just like tying the string to the, jump ring basically, and i did two jump rings so that it,would just be more secure,so the jump rings should be connected, like this and to connect the two, together you're gonna just take pliers, and just open it and then close it with, pliers really simple, but if you don't know how to do it you,can just like look up a youtube video, but basically just open it with the, pliers and then close it and that's how, they go together, and then on the other end we're going to,add our lobster clasp,so to do this i just pulled it through, the end of the lobster clasp, and just did like a triple knot so it,was really secure and as you could see, this is what the other end should look, like with the two jump rings, and my strings are really long you could, just cut that off,and then that's how you clip the, necklace and it's super cute, okay guys so i finished my necklace it,turned out,so cute like i love it so much it's,super easy to make it just took me kind,of a while like it took, like an hour or so i don't know why i,thought it was gonna be really quick but,it wasn't but the hardest part is just,at the end with the jump rings and stuff,um and i'm kind of scared it's gonna, untie so a little like life hack i have, for you guys,is to make it stay you can take like, some strong, glue like hot glue or like super glue, and you can put it in the little holes,to keep, the knots from untying you can also make, bracelets i know foam chart, foam i know phone charms have been, super in lately a lot of people have, been making them but i,am going to make a bag charm i've seen, only like a couple people,do this i have my bag here this is like,my summer bag and i thought i'd ma

Live ABUNDANTLY in 2023 by doing THIS ! 💸♥️| NATALIE ODELL

hey baddies it's your girl Natalie,O'Dell and welcome back to your favorite,Beauty Channel on YouTube where we talk, everything Beauty fashion lifestyle and, most importantly self love which is,exactly what we're going to be doing, today it is a cozy Sunday and this is,honestly one of my favorite days of the, week because I get to do my Sunday reset, and that looks different probably every, week but there's a few core things that,I do on a weekly basis and it helps me,to prepare for my week it helps me to,just like really show myself some, unconditional love I think it's like a,huge mental health thing for me so I,have been trying to do it as,consistently as possible,um and I just thought like I should, really share that with you because if,you're not doing something like this you, should be there should be at least one,day a week where you do nothing but, things that you actually want to do that, feel good to you that make you feel, loved by yourself so yeah I hope by the,end of this video you guys want to join,me in that I guess ritual of loving, yourself at least for an entire day a,week and yeah let's get into the video, this is about to be aesthetically, pleased and you already know and I'm,really excited, baddies I like to start my self-care,Sunday with taking care of my crown, because after like a long week of styles,my hair needs to be rejuvenated like so,badly so my aura package conveniently, came in the mail right on time for this, video so Aura is a fully personalized, like line of hair care products, specifically like shampoos conditioners, and masks and the fun thing is you can, literally customize your products based, off of your hair goals there's like five, different scents and you can choose like, the strength of the fragrance and even, pigment options all while taking care of,your hair oh and this was one of the, things that got me they even let you, customize your bottles which you guys, know I had to put my name and they are, kind to the Earth their bottles and jars, are 100 recycled materials I love a,brand with a conscious and their, packaging is super cute too they even, have a card in there that has literally, everything you need to know on it one of,the things too that I thought was super, foreign, brand that lets you play with like, temporary pigments so I might eventually,do that and all of their pigments you, know fade over time and you can do,fantasy shades for like creative colors,or like classic shades for more natural, colors and they even have like, neutralizing pigments which is what I,use to get rid of like unwanted tones, anyway let me show you how to use it so,first I separate my hair into like four, parts while it's still dry because then, the results are super noticeable, afterwards and then wait first of all, look how pigmented this color is have, you ever seen a neutralizing purple, conditioner like this I'll answer that, for you you probably have it because I,haven't and that's what really got me I,was like wow okay so now I'm gonna rinse, this out and guys remember this is a,part of your self-care self love so be,present while you take care of yourself, then I go to shampoo to wash my hair, really good and it honestly smells, amazing I think this is honestly my,favorite part because it feels so good, then I go back in with my purple, conditioner and you can already see the, blonde streaks in my hair are starting,to pop more even while being wet okay so,now after styling my hair I pick it out,a little bit to go for like that full, look and look how good it looks I don't,even need a makeup on all I did was my,little hair ritual with aura and I just, feel like effortlessly beautiful anyway, they have different pricing if y'all, want to try it you can bundle products, and save 10 for two items or 20 for, three items or more oh and you can also, subscribe and save an additional 15 if,y'all want to try it I partnered with, aura to get my baddies a discount so you,can go to aurahaircare.com and don't,forget to use my code okay so now that I,took care of me I have to be a little, productive at leaves for about 30,minutes because I have to plan my week, and I like to do this on Sundays because,it's not only important to set the tone, mentally and emotionally by taking care,of yourself on Sundays but it's also, important to organize the things you, want to do for a smooth and productive, week okay so let me show you how I do it,so I always start off by writing Monday, through Friday on my notepad because, your girl likes to take the weekends off,so I really try to avoid doing anything, like work related on the weekends but if,I want to put something fun on the, weekend I'll like schedule that in here, like at this time then I make a general,to-do list on my computer with things, that I'd like to accomplish for the, upcoming week and don't be afraid to mix, business with personal because it's all, important okay then I start assigning, each thing on my to-do list to a,different day of the week on my notepad, and then when I do all of that that, takes about

so,tick tock is crazy if you don't believe,me just look at any other platform, outside of it you have tumblr reddit, instagram twitter youtube, facebook if you still count that as,social media overall there are so many, different types, but i don't think any of them do what, take talk does as well which is get you,so addictive, and it really becomes a huge cesspool, for just, going in circles and getting some of the, most toxic videos if you're really into, those things, accidentally then you also have the, problem of anonymity it's a lot more, real than an app like tumblr and then,it combines that with the more social, media interactive site that is,instagram so basically i think they do a,lot of things right but in that they can,be really toxic for a lot of teenagers,so that's what we're going to be talking, about today tick tock brings out a lot,of insecurity for a lot of people, and i think there are a lot of bad, effects that people don't necessarily, realize is because of the app,and overall i'm just really concerned, for all of us i am definitely not the, only person that experiences this, where even if i don't realize that if i,go into a tick tock binge or watching a,lot of tick tock i usually come out, feeling a lot worse about myself, and this is something that like the, experts and all of the oh the gen z's,are screwed have always been saying, about instagram, and i never really saw that myself just, because instagram you can very easily, decide what you're going to look at and, what you won't,whereas with tick tock i've noticed you, just scroll up and down, and they give you whatever they give you,and sometimes it's good sometimes it's,bad,so the basis of tick tock is the, algorithm at this point it's taken on,these mystical properties kind of like, some badly plotted yea dystopia, and no one really knows how it works, there's lots of myths about how to gain, the tick tock algorithm how it works, but mostly the components are about five, things and that's the amount of likes, comments and overall engagement which is,the time, the how much you favorite and whether, you share the video or not,so overall these are what makes a video, viral but at the same time half the, videos that go viral don't really make, any sense, still that's more of a wide scope but, then when you think about it,individually this is how it has to do,with people being insecure, and damaging people's mental health so,for example if you see something, triggering if you see something, that really bothers you you're more, likely to read the comments for five, minutes, but then tick tock sees that and thinks,oh you watch this video for five minutes, you really like it,so they give you more videos that will, negatively impact you and because of,this, you will suddenly have a lot of videos,in your feed that are of things that, might, not affect you the best way maybe it's,something triggering you politically, maybe it's something that triggers some, sort of mental health issues you have, and because like we all know gen z has, very a lot of mental health issues, that's a very likely thing for half of,us or the majority of us at this point,so you already have this as the basis, for tick tock it's basically made,to give you videos it thinks you like, but often it's just based off of,whether you care about the video doesn't,mean it's impacting you positively, while there are ways to gain the system, you can't really affect the way you, interact with something that well,so then there's the fact that it's an,incredibly visual platform, instagram has always been that way but i,don't think it's the same thing because,it's just photos it doesn't really feel, like these people are real but then when, you see them in,live action moving around you can see, that these people actually exist it's a,lot harder to just say, that oh this is photoshop etc and i,think that makes it a lot worse because, you suddenly think oh i could be that, person,in a way that you wouldn't really think, with youtube because there's less of a,wall between you,in tiktok than there would be in an app, like youtube, then there's the fact that the videos, that go viral hit the sweet spot of,everyone perfectly, they're usually just the perfect angle,or the perfect way someone does their, hair and because of that, you think that's what they look like in,all videos but then when you actually, look at the other videos, they look much more like normal people, and this was just a way that they kind,of,got lucky and just made this perfection,of a human or a,picture of nature etc and that's why it,went viral, but if you're only looking at viral, videos you get this really skewed, perspective of life and what other, people are like obviously emphasizes, just being a purely beautiful human, being, because everything has you attached to,it just being pretty, being a person that looks aesthetically, pleasing is going to make your video, more successful, there are people that have made huge, followings just off of the fact that, they have nice hair or,a unique set of eyes because

140. Natalie Rose: Overcoming Disordered Eating & Poor Body Image

what is up everybody and welcome to,another edition of the not so stupid, podcast today's episode we have special, guest registered psychotherapist natalie, rose she specializes in disordered, eating and eating disorders which are,two very different things although kind,of similar and natalie really helped me,open my eyes in a lot of ways that, people with disordered eating patterns, kind of view the world view themselves, view the food they're eating and how to,kind of combat that and overcome it to a,degree or at least take the steps, necessary to go to a healthier state of,mind healthier eating patterns healthier, body image perceptions which we get into, into the podcast and i'm super excited, for you guys to listen to it because she, drops a lot of gems throughout the, episode that i try to point out but, there was just too many so make sure you, listen closely to everything she has to,say now without further ado let's get, right into the interview here is the, podcast episode with natalie rose all, right natalie rose welcome to the, podcast how are you doing today hi good, thank you how are you i'm doing great,i'm doing great i'm doing awesome now, that you're on the show with us right, now really excited to have you on and, share your story so,on that topic can you kind of tell us a,little bit of who you are what you do,and how you ended up in the position you,are today, yes so i'm a registered psychotherapist,i'm from toronto,i'm specializing in disordered eating, and eating disorders, and i didn't always know that i wanted,to be a therapist or especially one that, worked with eating disorders but i sort,of found my way here um and part of that, has to do with my,instagram which is also how,we connected, how did you end up being interested in,that like what led to that course of,action kind of,well it's actually so interesting, because when i look back i remember that,i used to love shows like intervention, and especially the ones where they, showed people with eating disorders like,i just was fascinated,in in you know eating disorders and i,understood for some reason on some level, that it wasn't just about food it was, about, you know underlying psychological, experiences and in trauma and things, like that and,it's so weird also because in i think, the ninth grade,we always had to do speeches every year, every year you could do a speech and you, could choose your topic and i chose to,write about eating disorders, which is so random um but i was talking, about how they, had to do with anxiety, and things like that um,anyways fast forward like i went to,university for business i didn't have, any plans to do psychology or therapy or,anything related to eating disorders but,i just fell in love with my psych 101,class and i just i guess i just grew an,interest of of wanting to understand, people, and also to understand myself like it,just, helped to uh to learn about human, behavior and things like that um,and so while i was doing my master's so,i finished, ended up switching my major into, psychology, then a few years later went back to do,my masters in clinical and counseling, psychology, and while i was doing that i started an,instagram where i would post,my breakfast every morning and i was, very much into, like my health and wellness journey, and documenting that and talking about,my experiences with disordered eating, and overcoming dieting which for me,dieting was sort of like a symptom of,disordered eating so,i would share that and i grew a,following of people who, also experienced disorder eating, and, they would ask me questions and, sometimes i wouldn't have the answer to,their questions like a really common one,was how do i stop calorie counting, and, for me personally i had used calorie, counting apps in the past but it didn't,really become something that was, obsessive or that i had trouble stopping,um like i would just one day i would, just get busy and forget to track and so,it wasn't didn't feel like something i,couldn't stop so i didn't know how to,answer their questions um,and so,that led me to look into it more and, more, and i just kept,um i ended up finishing my master's,which,in nothing related to eating disorders, but i kept, doing uh courses and,um professional development and, workshops and things like that and then, just decided to to specialize in eating, disorders especially as my instagram, grew and i sort of began to merge like, this fun what was a fun blog into my,therapy and practice, that's so cool that your kind your, instagram and the people that were, following you kind of,steered you in a way even though it,steered you naturally right, yeah, yeah they it steered me into, what was already like an innate interest, that i'd had from years ago that i,forgot about because i was following, what i thought i should be doing like, doing trying to you know do the business, thing and,um so it was really interesting that, like, doing that hobby like just doing what, made me feel good helped steer me in the, right direction i think that's what i,learned from it wow
