whiskey of course,and we'll get started I'm sharing kind,of some of the things we've encountered,along this journey so our first topic is,a question that both of us get it,presented a lot which is how does he or,your husband let you do this,and first off whenever I hear the word,legs I'm kind of like wait a minute I'm,a grown-ass woman no one lets me do,anything I can decide for myself and so,a he doesn't let me and then what we'll,discuss later what this means we're one,team and you know letting her do,something is very it's a very,interesting way to look at our life for,outside or to have no idea,about but when you love someone you have,a relationship with someone you don't,just tell them what to do you help guide,them and also same for me she's guided,me through careers and I'm guided,narrative careers and there is no do,this or do that it's hey you know I'm,thinking about doing this let's talk,about it,yeah it's we've always been we're both,very communicative with each other,we've always communicated very well,whether it's in well good mannered,communications sometimes anger sometimes,passion sometimes intensity but we've,always been very open with each other,and share with each other exactly how we,felt um so I think whenever they say,like like drives me insane I'm like what,we support each other through everything,anything we decide to do I want to do,like you said up in there through all,his jobs and careers and he's been there,through all my different businesses,I've always been an entrepreneur at,heart so going through all of it it's,weird because we both support each other,through different career paths and I,just heard me heard like I was a manager,for a company sales and did a lot of,things and you know she would support me,we would discuss opportunities coming,ahead and this and that but there was,never any I need you to go be a man to,engine to make more money and with her,you know she she cleaned houses for a,living she watched kids for a living and,you know those aren't you know these big,dream jobs but they helped our family,and help their kids be around their mom,still and I supported her she had a bad,day if some it was being a brad you know,house took longer than normal whatever,she would talk to me I would talk to her,we would talk about the jobs we had at,the time and when this opportunity arose,and she wanted to see where it took us I,was supportive of her and said hey you,know this is what you want to do this,brings you confidence and joy and,happiness you know,Hosting pretty pictures then I'll be and,I'll be here to help you support you and,be a part of this process and I think to,like he says it all sweet cutscene is,really sweet and was amazing through all,of it um you know as a girl you always,grow up so um but yes and,the DFW area I've grown up and the,entire all over the Metroplex up here so,um but I've been all over Texas,obviously and it takes hours to drive,anywhere in Texas even close it takes,like an hour cuz the traffic it sucks,but um and then okay so someone asked,about my they I had a cleaning business,um so I've always been kind of an,entrepreneur I've always I don't know,considered myself bossy but people,always call me bossy I've since I was a,kid I ran clubs and things like that and,my neighborhood like I was like always,the leader I was always the boss um but,so I've always I've had several,different businesses since being an,adult and worked at several different,several different fields but yes my most,recent long,just most probably most successful was,my home cleaning business and I grew it,pretty well within a few years and I had,at one point I think I had like 11,ladies working for me,and that was hectic and stressful and I,felt miserable all the time and I hated,life so I cut down and made it smaller,it was easier to manage it was better,but um so I don't i've actually,dissolved and given over i had a lady,that worked with me for over two hey everyone Courtney here again so,today I wanted to start talking a lot of,people ask me like you know hey how did,you decide to do texas-sized I'm going,to do this all that kind of stuff so um,the story is on my site but I like,sharing it - it's more fun - sometimes,to tell it and by person so um so let's,see two and a half years ago I was kind,of back on my fitness journey I was,trying to lose the last of that baby,weight to really kind of you know I felt,like okay my kids are bigger I really,it's time for me to really focus on me a,little bit and happy was super,supportive about it so he was like he,would go get the groceries for me so I,could work out like whatever he was,helping me let me really kind of dive in,and do what I wanted and during that,time I was showing him like their like,fitness models and like stuff like that,on Instagram like look at her she's so,hot um you feel like oh you're just as,hot as them I'm like oh you're so sweet,but whatever and like there's been a,couple different ones that were short,and had booties and curves like me and,so we were kind of like um he was like,oh my gosh it's kind of crazy and they,have like millions of followers and,whatever he was like dude you know it's,kind of funny I was like oh whatever and,one day we're gonna joke and were like,yeah he'd always kind of taken booty,pics of me and and so he was like we,were sitting there talking we're like,okay we should totally put my booty on,Instagram kind of a joke and later on,we're like oh my gosh should we do it we,should totally do it let's just do it,it's just a butt it's no big deal and,I'm here we are we don't know anything,about Instagram so we're like okay let's,post it out there I don't know let's,figure out how to do this and um kind of,funny it just kind of kept growing and,growing,um and we are you know reaching out and,getting shared my pics getting shared by,places and it was kind of cool and like,this is crazy I was growing really fast,and I was like okay it was fun to do all,the booty pics were like okay let's just,put my whole self out there you know um,I mean obviously you never know what,people are gonna say,and I just I kind of I liked I like,going for it and daring and kind of just,going out there anyways I've been an,open book my whole life so it was kind,of fun to put it out there and that,sense and a different kind of sense than,just as a mom or just as workouts or,just just you know whatever it's kind of,like hey you know a little like look my,booty would um and so it's kind of fun,and it kept growing and so we um we,decided like holy cow this is amazing,this is crazy,you know and of course we started giving,some backlash from people some people,kind of talking crap saying well you're,a mom or you're this there was family,that did not like it and I was like it's,just my bud like calm down um don't look,at it if you don't like it so then it,kind of became this whole like why did,they get to come and judge me I don't,ever judge other people I don't you know,put other people down and I go talk crap,and so really like this is insane like,so many people were loving it and then,there was still someone either were like,coming out of the Woodworks just it was,kind of shocking so then it became this,like mission like wait a minute,just because I'm a mom or just because,I'm not a 20 year old or whatever I,can't like be a part of this social,media and whatever like celebrity you,know moms and wives and stuff can do it,and so I kind of thought I was like a,double standard and so then I became,remission to be like no you can do this,and be strong and not care what other,people think and um and it was fun it,was a lot of fun in it it just kept,growing into this bigger thing and then,of course I dealt with backlash from,like haters reporting stuff and,Instagram and stuff so I was like okay,Instagram goes away or Instagram deletes,you know my page or whatever which you,know has happened a few times so I was,like I want to play so I can still like,have you know all of this like um,empowerment you know I loved the women,that were reaching out I loved all of it,I wanted people to be able to still you,know find me and see me and and then of,course it started getting a little,um time consuming was fun but I am still,a busy mom is still running a full-time,business and so it was kind of crazy and,I was like okay I want a spot for,everything that's everything that,encompasses texas-sized and what I'm,about and what I want to pursue and,share with people but then it has to be,controlled by me so that some app can't,just delete me or whatever and and then,that way I can have it where for the,time and they work and and I loved it,but it was like I said is a lot and so,that's when I created Texas thighs the,website exercise calm and then that's,when I created the membership as well,that way it would have more exclusive,it's kind of like you know a special fan,club and and then that way I could keep,pouring my he

Begin with a really simple
goal. Just to let's all get,outside. Go for a walk. But I
believe it's grown into,something incredible. There are
over 100,000 of you who are,members of our online community
where everybody relies on each,other for support motivation
this month. We want to kick it,up a notch are November walking
challenge is going to Paris for,walking or running a 5 K all
you need to do come back to 6,weeks of training. That's it.
And we're going to do it,together. Reach that goal but
maybe need a little extra,motivation to get started and
you're walking or so just hang,out. Yeah, you could sit or you
could stand and watch it.,Maybe walk in place because
over the next half hour we're,bringing you some of our
favorite started a success,stories.,We begin with a member of our
started a community. Christie,fat found success with our
fitness plan and now it's,inspiring others to get active
one step at a time. But she did,sit down with us over the
summer to give us a look ahead,and take a look.,>> 3 years ago miscarriage
which took a toll on my mental,and physical health.,I was in a dark spot. I was
struggling with my weight and I,wanted to make a change.
I decided to come. It's walking,every day for 100 days.,I started on my own. But once I
saw out kickoff to start a,walking plan, we're going to
get walking, will join the,Facebook community. I suddenly
had 80,000 people cheering me,on and walking with me. My
motivation skyrocketed.,I notice changes quickly.,>> When I started walking in my
neighborhood, I had to stop the,slowdown along the way. Now,
those same pills are a breeze.,My body changed too. Inches
were coming off. I had more,energy and reduce depression
and anxiety.,The motivation. I have some
friendly competition with a,group of friends tracking your
steps on our fitness watches,,mainly looking to beat
ourselves. From past weeks.,When I shared my progress and
started a group, I was,overwhelmed by hundreds of
positive comments, including,from out himself,like a minutes walking is now a
permanent change. I'm well past,100 days and I have no plans to
stop.,>> And Christine, good morning.
Good to hear your story in,person because it really is so
motivating because I'd imagine,those first couple of days the
first week or 2 and actually,decide to do this crazy thing.,It's tough, right? Are you
feeling?,>> It's very tough. One of the
things that I learned is that,you don't need the motivation
to start. You get out there and,the motivation will follow.,>> When go ahead, overall just
was going to say, you've got to,the point now. I think I'm kind
of the same the point where you,actually crave physically crave
and mentally Craig getting out,there. If you don't, all this
is like, oh, I need to get out,there.,>> Absolutely. When I first
started, I was having a lot of,health anxiety. And within a
few weeks when I started,walking, I saw that anxiety go
down and so very quickly,,I knew that I needed to get out
there and do that lock in the,morning and I didn't have the
anxiety in your feed. That's,what I want to ask you, because
I think, you know, quite often,we talk about exercising its
always wait, which a look at,my. There's a lot of us what's
on the scale inches. But it's,more than that, isn't it?,>> Yes, absolutely. And you
don't have to walk 20 miles.,I started with 20 minutes and
I'm up to 2 miles a day and,that can change your life can
change your by.,>> I mentioned it's it's a
weird thing, you know, to get,that need to crave the
exercise. You probably thought,you'd never get to that point.
But there are little victories,you've had along the way that
aren't scale related. So what,have been some, you know,
profound moments for you,through this whole process.,>> Absolutely. One of the
biggest moments was my,identity. Change it before it
was. I was the plus size mom.,I was worried about sitting in
the seat of the chair and I'm,in my son would refer to me as
like the big mom and I'm a few,weeks ago he saw a woman
walking and he goes mom,,look, there's a there's a
walker like you and it was an,average size woman and to have
him refer to me as average size,woman was amazing.,>> That changes the way you
feel. And yes, I mean self,esteem all that. And and you
find yourself. I think yours,the same way. I am Chrissy that
you now start to push yourself.,So instead of just walking,
maybe a little jogging to it as,well, just that, that that that
surprise you?,>> Absolutely. I never thought
that I would be jogging 137,days in. But at that one, 30
mark, I started jogging short,intervals. So if I can do it,
anybody out there can do it.,And that's over. We started the
start today and now is out,there walking the plows out
that you have any idea.,>> What you guys want to do,
we're going to walk. See who's,going to who's going to join
the? I got it too.,>> It is an exceptional group.
There's 180,000 people and they,are absolutely super
motivational. You guys have a,small city whole village.
