Turpin daughter who escaped home posted videos to secret YouTube, Instagram accounts

and then we have an update on the Turpin, family so this is the family from Paris,California mother and father were, abusing and found nourishing their, children in their home the 17 year old, child who to police and authorities look,to be about 10 years old she escaped the, home and alerted police to find the rest,of her family well we just found out, today that there were YouTube videos, that she was uploading to the Internet,of her singing songs her playing with, the dogs and so we have those to show, for you but it's just incredible, that this family is still going through, all of this and another thing we learned, today is that the kids are going through, music therapy really they really enjoy, music and a performer,yo-yo ma who I was not familiar with but,Joe our digital oh yeah I was very, familiar with went and performed for, them at the hospital and so that's what,we have so far on that story, super moving I was gonna say it might, take away from watching his sweet girl, sing is that you really don't know what, people are going through and how, important it is just to be kind and that, doesn't make you weak that's so true, that's what I'm gonna take away she's,singing her heart out you would never, think she was going through anyone who's,on YouTube anyone looking on YouTube and, listening to the video doesn't know who, that little girl is doesn't know where, her situation is but the words that uses, the lyrics that I would imagine she, wrote herself are sad and huh show you, that she is going through something so,you can only hope the best for that, family and you see a little bit of the, video of inside the house now when the, story first broke we all imagined what, the inside of the house would look like, yeah and then you see that and then and, remember that's just a small little, snippet yep so it doesn't tell the whole, story different I would say probably, different than how we imagined it looks, like just like anybody else's house you,see the corner of the room though all,the trash and debris yeah yeah yeah so,there are maybe some signs that things, weren't you know perfect or something, was going on but that's drastically, different than yeah how I imagined it,and the fact that she apparently had a,way to record a video right and post, means that maybe they were more, connected to the outside world than we,it's just one of these there's so many, more layers to the story that's they, made they could go to an amusement park,or they could go out in public and, everything was odd but not no red flags, necessarily but then clearly things were, much worse than we realize a sliver of,it presented through the slats and how,do you think the neighbors must feel, because I've seen so many of the, neighbors say oh we had no idea what's,going on it's me look around my own, neighborhood and say what am I missing, exactly but even if you work he'd into, everything that was going on you look at,these kids and you see them out in the, real world engaging in behaviors and so,you're thinking okay maybe they are okay, and I remember when this story broke we,were sitting at the extra shot table, thinking all right who's gonna be the, reporter that gets into that house and,it finally gets the story with these, kids but to know that they were reaching, out to us even it was even if it was, through YouTube it's like darkness how,did we miss that I'm curious of the, lyrics of the song that she sang they, were like oh what's wrong with me except,me kind of like internalizing everything,it was heartbreaking yeah do you wonder,if so if you have the connectedness that, you can post YouTube videos do you, wonder why none of them thought we,should send out a no button crying for, help,so what's taking place in here you know, yeah Elizabeth Smart watching her, documentaries she talks about how she, would you know people came out to help, her right she felt so entrapped that she, couldn't even speak to ask for that help,it just must be an overwhelming, psychological barrier because then, they've got their brothers and sisters, their parents know you know maybe deep, down that you know there's still their, parents they still love them but knowing, that once that they get out that great, all of this is gonna happen to this, family so if they can hang on a little, bit longer maybe the parents will, realize that this isn't right you hope, yeah exactly you're always hoping in,your situation to make it better without, inviting other people because you know, what's gonna happen next, producer Christina the,seventeen-year-old,songwriter will call her okay great, let's play that for them okay so that's,all we have we do have her playing with, her dog and what rob was saying before,it seems like a normal house, what seventeen year old girl doesn't,have a pile of clothes in the corner of,her room,it's almost expected but wait hear what, she said we didn't even know and that's,what we're saying right now we didn't,even know and the brainwashing that's,taking place before announced yeah that, also might end it's certain to

House of Horrors Survivor Jordan Turpin: I Want to "Make a Difference in the World" | PEOPLE

House of Horrors Survivor Jordan Turpin: I Want to "Make a Difference in the World" | PEOPLE

foreign, one of the biggest things that I'm,looking for is like taking what I went, through and trying to get around, something more positive where I can, actually help others and make a,difference in the world I think that's,the most important thing to me because,it helps me too knowing that I can help, others with it,in January 2018 Jordan Turpin climbed, out of a window at the home where she,and her 12 siblings were being held, captive and abused by their parents the, then 17 year old called 9-1-1 which led,to their rescue while the four-year,sense have not always been easy Jordan,is extremely proud of what she's been, able to accomplish including getting her, high school diploma oh my gosh it was, just so cold being around people my age,and like just seeing like you know how,the world is you know just like seeing, how other people, art and stuff and I learned a lot from, high school and stuff and it was like, some really really cool experiences and,I'm really thankful that I got to have,my senior year I will go back to school,I'm not sure when but I want to go back, for school to study motivational, speaking and English those are the, things I want to major in,Jordan is also very excited about living,on her own for the first time,it's really really nice like in the, beginning there's a lot to learn and, stuff at first it was like unreal, because it was like this is everything I,ever wanted to be free I feel so much, free independent and I can decorate my,place however I want and I'm very, organized I love like decorating things, and getting creative and stuff and I'm,really really happy that I have my own, place right now,I've always been into fashion and I've,always been into like makeup and stuff,it's something I used to do when I was, younger and it's I still actually have, some other drawings I used to like draw, certain designs of like fashion clothes,I wasn't as good of a drawer as I am,right now but I still have some of them, they might not look too good but,um I used to I actually was really into, fashion and stuff but also,um makeup's just something I always love,I like do my makeup every day pretty, much and I think makeup is something, that is like a hobby for me something, that's very relaxing kind of like, painting it it helps starts your day as,like a coping skill you do before going, out just like relaxing and stuff and I,love getting creative and trying new, things but the thing that makes me the, most society and something I look, forward to every single day is when I,get together with all my siblings and we,just try new things we're very like, strong and we always try to stay, positive and we're really all fast, owners I'm just really proud because you, know it's been hard you know to like, learn everything in such a short time, and we all did really really good and,I'm just proud of all of my siblings and,I for that it's just amazing,in March Jordan went to her very first, concert a Garth Brooks show in San Diego, just a few days later she was also able,to see a singer that holds a very, special place in her heart Justin Bieber,so Justin is someone that I started, learning a lot from watching Kim and I,started just like singing there was, another world out there he made me more, curious about the world out there and,he's just someone I always like looked,up to,so they gave us our own Studio roll and, they had like food and drinks there and,I was eating and I like turn around and,Haley came back you know to the studio, and I saw her and I like it was right, when I like took like this big bite of,my food and I was like I almost choked, and I just was trying to like swallow, this big chunk of food and then I was, like so excited and so I was like, emotional at the same time because I was, just like in shocked and I ran up and I,hugged her and I didn't want to stop, talking to her because she was just so,sweet and she was like oh it's a happy, moment you know like like you don't have,to cry and I was like these are happy, tears like I'm so happy and,she was just so like Precious and kind, and sweet you could just she had like so,like calm sweet Vibes and she was just,so gentle and you could see she was very, happy to meet us and stuff and we were, very happy to see her and all of us was, just so happy it was like the greatest, experience and she was just so kind and, then when the concerts start I was like, with my sister and that we were both, crazy about Justin Bieber we was like it,didn't even feel real like at first and,we were both watching it it was amazing,it was the greatest experience ever we,like got emotional and then there was, times we were like jumping up and down, like we were super happy it was one of,the best days ever it was like a dream, come true the best part is all of us,could be together and all of us got to,experience that together and it was just,so nice of Haley and Justin to set this,up for us and we were just so thankful, and super happy and it was the greatest, experience one of Jordan's favorite, creative Outlets is Tick Tock over t

David Turpin Today 2022

David Turpin Today 2022

what you're looking at,is a prison cell, over at phu the protective housing unit,in the facility that david turpin lives,at along with his next-door neighbor, the golden state man, both of them, are around the same age, more or less, but committed very different types of,crimes, both very high profile cases, now,it struck me,as a surprise that david turpin was in,this facility because this is the, highest most protected facility that, anyone can reside in,in the prison system at least here in,california, only six units are there now,now the reason david turpin was chosen,to live there was a mystery to me,all the information that i'm giving you,in this video was supplied by actual, person who works in phu currently, for this reason,i am speaking extremely anonymously, and extremely vague there's only so much,i can tell you about david but i will, tell you as much as i can in this video,so david turpin lives a life very very, very, how should i say,i wouldn't say comfortable but special,he is away from the rest of the, population,he is at a level, that only the highest that need to be,watched can enter that level this is a,level that people want to be in because, they are safe there they won't be hurt, they won't be hurt by other prisoners, and they'll be watched within the system, this is a place where charles manson, stayed, and menendez and all the very very high, profile people, some ex-cops,that are in prison and ex-judges and, other high-profile people wish,to get into this unit system but they, cannot,it is reserved and it is by,choice meaning you can't just ask to go,there they have to choose you to go,there but the question is since david, turpin's crimes were not as severe as,the others that lived there and have, stayed there, why is he there, that is the big question, well it all ties in to the fact that, david turpin can't be located if you, wanted to write him a letter it would be,very difficult if you wanted to visit, him it would be nearly impossible, everything goes through the united, states government david has ties to the, united states government and knows top, secret classified information and they, want to make sure that that information, does not get leaked either intentionally,or not, therefore they need to prevent all the, hate mail that would be going to him and,all the other people that would be,writing him in terms of finding out who,he's affiliated with what's going on and, what does he hold that could jeopardize, the country's future now all this sounds, very very very, intense, and we all know that david doesn't come, without any baggage without any things, that, associates him with anything that he,might have been involved with that could, jeopardize anyone around him, now,he has access to televisions he has, access to go on the yard the yard is,green the yard is lush it is with herb, gardens and flower gardens he can, exercise,he can, participate in religious services he can,go to school he can have a job,it's pretty much, very very, secluded, but, they give them an allowance so that they, don't forget that they are human beings, and there is an outside world out there, with that said there is also a library, and in the library they have computers, and typewriters, why do i say typewriters because it,seems to be from what i've heard, that using a typewriter as as means of,communication,is the preferred choice for david for, some reason even though he has access to,email he may indeed use that email for, some things but when it comes to,facilitating his business affairs he,chooses to use the typewriter and that,is strange to me,it's almost like he doesn't want any, type of recourse going back and tracing, back to his own name, what he's writing about i can't really, get into the detail but i can tell you, what it's not about he is not concerned, with his family sorry to say and may not,be a surprise to some but he's not, asking about how his children are doing, even though he's aware of them being in,the media recently in fact the last, letter that he wrote was around the time, that they were in the media and not a,word was said about it he has been found, speaking a lot about life before his, family before he met louise life in west, virginia,he often reminisces about his childhood, and what a wonderful childhood he had he,talks about god and his religion and he,seems to reminisce about what life was, like, before he jumped into marriage and, children so fast i feel personally that,he misses his life and that's what he,chooses to talk about as if his family, and louise was all one big chapter in,his life that is too painful for him to,speak about,so he's often caught talking about, life, back in west virginia and what it was, like growing up and it seems to be,bringing back happy memories for him i,wonder if he's feeling guilty or just, seem to be waking up,and lastly i just want you to know that, the information,in this video it did take me over a year,to put this video out otherwise if it,was bs i could be producing a video, every other day for you i did do some, fact c

Vanessa Espinoza and Jennifer Turpin and the conservatorship her own words

Vanessa Espinoza and Jennifer Turpin and the conservatorship her own words

so,this is this chat's going to be,i'm going to be talking specifically, about the conservatorship, trust fund vanessa the people over her,um,a little bit about the lawyers,so i kind of wanted jr to be on live, with me,um,who is vanessa, good um,so,let's start with the conservatorship,um when we first were rescued we were, all placed on a crucifixer ship,i will overall tell you,i mean there was bad, there was,i guess good they came out of it you, know like we at least you know we had a,place to live we,um,it was because of them that i you know,we got into our first apartment we got,on the thing um to help us pay for it,um we got into therapy and stuff like, that, yeah there was a lot of stuff that they, didn't teach us um,we ended up having to like figure it all,out but,all in all i personally think it made me,smarter in trying to figure out things, and i did really well figuring it out,and you gotta remember, this is from my point of view, everyone that was every single one of us,that was under the conservatorship or,people that saw it that wasn't a part of,it but saw the outside of it,they're going to have their own views, too, and also something i just found out, recently is some people think that, vanessa has something to do with the, younger siblings, she was a part of like the older like, conservatorship thing, she um and it's not even vanessa it's,the, public guardian office,it was um the entire office and they had, nothing to do with the younger siblings, who is vanessa vanessa is,someone okay so if you watch the 20 20,special,and,um they they literally chased vanessa, espinoza down to her house,um was like, found her at work it was it was bad and,i was like, like most of the stuff that happened, wasn't even her fault,i don't know i was kind of surprised, they actually went that far but, they were making a huge point about her,and her name,so,in the beginning and even throughout so,she so in the beginning she always would, like treat us to starbucks treat us to,so many things like she would literally, like just,go out of her way and do something for,us,but she got in trouble, because, her bosses and everyone else was saying, that,it's um,that they're your client you're not, supposed to do that and she would get in,trouble she was afraid of losing her job,so she she stopped buying us little, things she stopped,um,treating us to things and, then she would like, secretly try to like give us something,or she would like,go out of her way to make sure that we,got the trust funds we needed or,um fight with the corps and our, conservative lawyers i gotta get to that, they they're the ones i have a huge, problem with is our lawyers, she tried she tried to like be nice to,us and she would get in trouble for it,and she literally like here's here's the, thing about the trust fund,we had the money throughout the, conservatorship, the problem was not that they took money, they didn't take money from us,the problem is is they have it,and we can only get it if we ask for it,from them, now,i used most of my trust funds so thank, you guys,to pay off my schooling, and i,my medical assistant class was close to,thirty thousand it was like twenty, twenty something thousand dollars, and,my um phlebotomy was like over three, thousand, and,it was the original trust fund that paid,it off,so i did get to use most of it you know, and i've been able to pull some here and, there, and i've got to work on closing it out,but i have to,go through the conservative lawyers but,i don't really want to talk to them, again,so yeah i get to thank you i want to,thank i wanted everyone to thank y'all, for so long for that part like oh my,gosh like,if it wasn't for the trust fund i'd be,in debt like everyone else that went to,school,it was vanessa's idea like she was like, well i can help you pay off those loans, you can use your trust fund and i'm like, that's exactly what i wanted to use my,trust fund to begin with was to help get,to college and you know and,you know, start a career and use it to pay off the, school so that was perfect i was like, yes but the thing is is my point was it,wasn't directly her and i thought it was, wrong of them to pinpoint her it was her, bosses above her she tried to do things, for us she tried to reach out,it's the whole office pretty much, but her directly she didn't didn't do,anything wrong and any of the like bad, stuff that i could like go on and on and,on about, like, that was because of her bosses,i don't know like and i didn't even see, everything this is just what my,understanding of it what i saw,um like i said it's also through only my,eyes,um,each one of us probably has a completely, different story, but i wanted to kind of clear that up,yes we got to spend some of our trust, fund no they did not take it from us,um,no,vanessa's name shouldn't have been, dragged to the mud like it was and she, lost like, like,so much, and,it was,it was they should have just went, directly like the office itself like, they need to fix things, they need to fix how they're working but, they just took

Turpin sisters on what the future holds for them l GMA

Turpin sisters on what the future holds for them l GMA

spoke to jordan and jennifer just a,short time ago about the reaction to,that special and what the future holds, for them,so i watched the special last night and,i was blown away by the two of you and i,know you all watched the special over, the weekend can i ask you both, what that was like jordan i'll start, with you,um,so,when i try to at first i couldn't watch,it but then when i finally, washed it because i wanted to see it,i had to like pause in a lot of parts, because it was really hard for me to,watch it,it brought back,a lot of stuff and when i saw,the camera film of,mother and father,it,it was very like scary like my heart, just dropped to my stomach it was like, very very nervous, but,i was just, like it was really hard for me to watch,it but i'm just glad that,it's out there so people can see it and, they can hopefully it makes a good, difference and we can make a change and, people know that they have a voice and, they can speak up if something's not, right,so,you all the bravery that it took to tell, your story that is not an easy thing to,live through and then to relive it,jennifer what was it like for you to,watch it was just that basically, relieving it and,it was, very emotional brought back all the, emotions, and when i saw the video cam that was,the first time we seen that footage,i mean of course i lived it was still, the actual footage and it was like, wow, like,i'm so glad we got out of there that you,may feel, silenced but there's always a way out,and i hope people get that from our, story like there's always hope even if,it feels like there's none i'm telling, you that is exactly what the message was, that was resounding for me were you, proud of yourselves when you when you,saw the courage it took when you saw, your use telling your story owning your, story, did you feel pride yes i was so proud of,myself yeah i think both of us me,personally i don't talk about it much so,i kind of hold it in,and so i think like, just letting it out like saying it kind,of helps me too some that's incredible, you mentioned watching the footage the, body cam footage jordan when you first, met that officer when you were brave and,you ran out of that house and you could, see, you getting out of that window and, running and making that phone call,is that the first time you saw,the footage of yourself yeah that's the, first time i saw any of those finish um,films and it was just like,i don't know like i was just like wow i,didn't even know i ran that fast yeah, and and speaking to that i mean this, isn't something you would normally do,you probably didn't even run you were in,my house i was sitting down most of my,life so like it was like,it was just really scary like,i just i was desperate to get away from, that house because i didn't want them to,come out and see me and seeing yourself, with the officer explaining your story, what was that like for you to watch it,for the first time, well,i was just like i remember the feeling, like i just, when i listened to the phone call and i,saw the footage i just couldn't like, stop crying because i kind of felt like,i was in the moment again, and that's like something that's never, going to leave you like you're always, going to remember that that's like,it was so terrifying,um because i didn't know what was going,to happen in that moment but also at the, same time when i was watching it i was, like wow i've came a long way, because there's things that i didn't,like really understand that i didn't,even remember me you didn't know what, bruises were you didn't know what, injuries were what that word meant yeah, and i was just like,it's kind of like when i watch it it's,like,oh i didn't know what that was, like um i mean i knew i didn't know what,a lot of things was but, like now that i know so much i'm like, wow, like we were really kept isolated we,were really like indoors because,it's just crazy like,it wasn't just physical abuse there was,so much more there was so much more, every everything that, pretty much everything yeah and and, jennifer i'm curious because i know you, were helping jordan you had attempted an,escape earlier so you were kind of,trying to prepare her,how to get out what to look for,to see your sister do that now in that, video where it was all documented what, was it like for you as her older sister,to watch so much pride, and,i think that's where i cried the hardest, and obviously,so proud of you you're so sweet thank, you,i know,i was like so so proud,i couldn't have been more proud, those girls and and their strength and, their resilience and their, sweetness it's overwhelming to see them, where they are now but what they've been, through is unthinkable and i love that, they said they don't want to be viewed,as victims they want to be viewed as,heroes which they are yes do you have a,sense what their day-to-day life is like, right now you know i think they're just, trying to catch up you know they have, they didn't get the education we all, received they didn't get the love they, didn't get the security so they're,bui

Never-before-seen police video reveals moments after Jordan Turpin’s escape l GMA

now to an abc news exclusive never, before seen footage of a child's daring, escape from unimaginable abuse at the, hands of her parents two sisters jordan, and jennifer turpin speaking out for the, first time to diane sawyer about their, lives in a house of horrors children, held captive near starvation some of,them chained to their beds diane is here, this morning what an incredible, incredible story oh thank you it is so,good to see you and i want everybody to,know that this story is proof that out,of horror can come such a beam of light, and hope you would not believe it now,the girl you're going to hear,is 17 years old she sounds much younger, but she knows she has one chance to get,out and save her 12 siblings and when, she slips out the window you have to,remember that she has never talked to a,stranger she doesn't know about street, signs she doesn't know her house address, she doesn't know where she is she's just, going on faith and terror that is,equaled only by her courage, this is 911,i just ran away from halls do you know, what street you're on,um,no,uh i just run away from home because,i live in a family of 15.,okay,can you hear me and,we have abusing, paris did you hear that okay hello,oh yes i'm still here, nearly four years later this is jordan, turpin, remembering that night,my whole body was shaking and, when i was holding the phone i remember, the phone was like i couldn't and we would, get the help we needed because,if we went back there's no way i would,be sitting here right now i don't know, how you had the courage never having, spoken to anyone like that i think it,was like us coming so close to death so,many times, and like i was worried about my siblings, and when i saw, them crying and worried i just felt like,i had to do it like, like i i just wanted to do it i Escape from a House of Horror l 20/20 l PART 1

a security camera is rolling in a quiet, suburban california neighborhood,at the house across the street in the, shadows someone quietly opens a window, and slips out, watch there,a blurry figure stepping forward a small, uncertain girl, heading one way, then she turns hesitates, and starts to run, clutching an old cell phone, that was my only chance,at least if something happened to me at,least i died trying, now an emergency what are you reporting,um,well, this is 911,um,i just ran away from halls do you know, what street you're on,um,no,uh i just run away from home because,i was in a family of 15.,okay,can you hear me and,we have abusing parents did you hear, that okay how did they abuse you, okay,us they girls cross they like throw us,across the room, they pull our hair they, they yank our hair,i have two,my two little sisters right now,are chained up okay how old are you,i'm 17.,what's your name, okay i'm going to connect these with the, sheriff's department so that they can, help, one moment don't hang,a second dispatcher picks up hello,oh yes i'm still here, nearly four years later this is jordan, turpin remembering that night my whole, body was shaking and, when i was holding the phone i remember, the phone was like,i couldn't really dial now on,because,i'm sorry, yeah i'm shaking it so i was trying like,to,to die on number one, but,i couldn't even get my my thumb to press, the buttons because,i was shaking so bad but um,i was like trying to like calm down, thank you so much um i was trying to,like calm down so i could,i could um,to do it and then i finally like pressed,it,and then they answered,i literally never talked to somebody on,the phone what's your address okay you, gotta give me a minute,i'm just gonna take them off,i've never been out,i don't go out much so i don't know, anything about the streets or anything, the dispatcher tracks her location from, the gps on her cell phone and sends out,a request for a police officer,a deputy across town volunteers he's 14,minutes away and i was freaking out, because i was like wait are they going,to take me back there like i was so,scared in that moment i was actually on,the road because i didn't even know, about the sidewalks you're supposed to,be on the sidewalk but i never been out, there the caller tries to find her house, address on a piece of envelope she's,stuffed in her backpack my address is,nine, two, five, seven, zero, five, seven, four, did you get it,okay so now you just gave me a whole, bunch of,numbers you didn't give me any kind of,street name there oh okay i'm sorry, thank you for the numbers on my house, that's your zip code your the numbers on,your house should only be three digits, finally she reads the correct address, but is panicking not knowing whether her, parents can look out a window and see,her are you in a corner right now,uh,i'm i might be,are you at is there a street sign is,there a pole with two names at the top i,just need,i just see a stop sign okay can you go,over and stand right at that stop sign, yes, and then eventually i saw a stop sign, and i stood by the stop sign and she, told me to stay there and i was like i'm,scared they're gonna come like i wanted,to leave,i'm so,terrified because i know the way they, were, they wouldn't care if they knew police, were coming they would just kill me,right there and there if they realized, that especially if they knew i was on,the phone with the police but she tries,to remain brave, because of her siblings, she is their hope the reason i ran away, from home was because the chains were, making places and they would wake up at,night and they would start crying and, they wanted me to call somebody and tell, them and so,i wanted to call,i wanted to call y'all so y'all can help,my sister,do you think anybody in the house will, need to go to the hospital,uh i'm not sure, sometimes,we live in filth, and sometimes i wake up and i can't,breathe, because how dirty the house is we never, take that, when was the last time you had a bath, what when was the last time you had a,bath, almost a year ago,i had to make sure that if i left we,wouldn't go back because and we will get,the help we needed because,if we went back there's no way i would,be sitting here right now,i don't know how you had the courage, never having spoken to anyone like that,i think it was like us coming so close,to death so many times, and like i was worried about my siblings, and when i saw them crying and worried i,just felt like i had to do it like, like i i just wanted to do it i wanted,to,help everyone,do you know if your parents keep any, kind of weapons in the house,uh,i think that my father has a gun, have you seen the guns,no,but we've talked about it the dispatcher, knows if this girl with the strange, cadences and vocabulary hangs up or the, call drops there's no way to get her, back her old phone has been disabled it,can only call out to 9-1-1,so the dispatcher tries to keep her, talking do you know what your dad's name,is,i don't know much about my name, does anybody in the house take any ki
