facebook stock price has fallen by over,50,in only seven months what's going on,well let's begin by looking at the day,on which this price decline began the,second of february 2022 when the parent,company of facebook and instagram lost,230 billion dollars of value in less,than 24 hours just to give you an idea,about how much money 230 billion dollars,is the total gdp of new zealand being,the value of every single product or,service produced by the entire country,for the whole year was only 210 billion,which is less than what facebook lost in,a day so what went wrong on this fateful,day in february when meta set the record,for the highest one-day value decline in,stock market history to put it simply,this was the day on which facebook,revealed to the public that both their,site usage and revenue has been,declining shown on screen is a graph,displaying the amount of daily active,facebook users over the last 10 years,for every quarter besides the first,three months of the pandemic growth in,the facebook user base was almost,strangely consistent however if we take,a look at late 2021 for the first time,in the website's history user growth,flattened off substantially when looking,at the graph for monthly facebook users,as opposed to daily facebook users the,data is similar only 0.1 growth from,october to january 0.8 from january to,april and then even a decline of 0.07,percent from april to july surprisingly,or perhaps unsurprisingly instagram,follows a similar trend to facebook,nothing but growth from 2015 until 2021,at which point stagnation hits why well,the first reason behind facebook and,instagram's user growth stagnation is,somewhat of an impressive problem,they're battling with human population,limits and have run out of new nigeria a majority of people are not,online if you then factor in another 15,of the global population who are under,the age of 10 making them too young to,use social media at all then pile on the,hordes of people who have made a,deliberate effort to boycott social,media altogether facebook and,instagram's problem becomes obvious,they're running out of humans in an,article written by time titled inside,facebook's plan to wire the world it,explains how zuckerberg is working to,literally provide the entire third world,with the internet because it's now the,only way that meta can reach new people,connecting the entire world wouldn't,actually literally be possible unless,everybody in the world were on the,internet so zuckerberg has decided to,make sure everybody is this sounds like,the kind of thing you say you're gonna,do but never actually do but zuckerberg,is doing it he is in chandori today on a,campaign to make sure that actually,literally every single human being on,earth has an internet connection we,really want to get the next billion,people online and if we can play a role,then that's something that i personally,care a lot about is it selfish for,zuckerberg to connect the entire world,to the internet just so he can get more,people onto facebook and instagram or is,it a win-win situation for everyone,that's an ethical conundrum for you to,consider however this might not even be,the main problem as meta isn't only,running out of new people to introduce,the services to but those who are,currently active on the services are,departing in droves somewhat hilariously,facebook has lost 1 or 30 million of its,users to that pesky little thing known,as death and with 12.1 percent of,facebook's user base being over the age,of 55 this number will inevitably,increase as time progresses yet facebook,should probably be less worried about,the boomers and a little more concerned,about the zoomers as facebook's biggest,loss in user count stems from the,younger generation back in 2018 facebook,demographics began to follow a very,interesting trend there was an increase,in users from the older generation,little change from those in their middle,age and a pretty substantial loss in,users from those under the age of 25.,one year later in 2019 another piece of,data was published supporting a similar,trend only to a more severe degree there,was a slight increase from the oldies,barely any change for the middle age,crowd and again a massive 17 decline in,only two years for those using facebook,under the age of 34. after seeing this,data it's no I've got a challenge for you I want you,to think back to Instagram exactly one,year ago and I want you to think about,all of the ways in which it's changed,because the app has gone through so many,changes as of late and my predictions,are that it's going to continue to,experience a lot of changes through the,duration of 2023 so I thought I'd kick,off this year happy New Year by the way,with my Trend predictions for Instagram,and this video will also include a sneak,peek at some of the features that,they're testing as well that I think are,going to be released later on this sure,you're gonna love you're gonna love it,okay so my first prediction is that,Instagram are going to lean more heavily,into authenticity now I would love to,take credit and just say that I've I've,looked into the future and guess that,this is going to happen but that would,be a lie because Instagram have actually,been testing two new features which are,very much telling me Point Blank that,they are moving into the authenticity,space now let me just start off by,explaining what I mean there has been a,broad shift towards authenticity on,social media and it's been going on for,like a year or so now and what I'm,referring to when it comes to,authenticity on social media is like the,more unedited less aesthetic content,that's a bit raw that's captured with a,shaky hand that's just very like real,right and something what really proves,this social shift has been happening has,been the popularity of a new social,media app called be real now if you're,not familiar with what be real is it's,essentially an application which sends,notifications to its users and when you,receive the notification you should take,a photo of what you're seeing and of,yourself so you use both cameras and you,share it with the people who follow you,as a way to give an insight into what,you're actually doing at any given time,so the idea is that you don't have an,opportunity to create this perfect life,you just have to capture what you're,doing when you get the notes education,hence the name be real and hence the,fact that it's playing into this idea of,authenticity now the reason why I think,Instagram are going to make new changes,so that it can keep up with this like,social shift is because they are,currently testing two features so,they've not been released yet but two,features which really support this,Theory the first is called Glimpse,um I've actually spoken about a similar,feature to this on Instagram in one of,my previous videos and it's quite,literally be real Glimpse is be real on,Instagram on your stories so the idea is,that you get a notification sharing what,you're seeing and what you look like and,you share it to your stories right so,they'll be categorized as a glimpse,story so as I mentioned Instagram kind,of started testing something similar to,this recently it was called IG candid as,far as I'm aware this is a version of,that but it's on your stories instead,also they are testing a new feature,called roll call now roll call is,essentially a feature for group Chats on,Instagram where you can send out a roll,call and everyone in the a group chat,has to send a photo or a video of what,they're doing within like five minutes,so again it's leaning into this idea of,Instagram encouraging its users to share,real authentic content of what they're,doing at any given time of the day so I,definitely think they're going to be,releasing more features like that,throughout 2023. my second Trend,prediction is that Instagram will be,making moves to give creators more power,what I'm referring to here is,specifically updates that Instagram are,going to implement hopefully that will,allow us creators to have more control,over who sees our content and the reason,why I think that this is going to happen,is because this has been one of the,biggest complaints for Instagram in,recent years is that a lot of the,creators including myself will notice,that maybe our content isn't being,shared to our Right audience or maybe,it's not being shared at all people are,getting quite frustrated with the app,and with the introduction of more recent,social media sites like tiktok for,example which actually allow creators to,reach quite a lot of people seemingly it,easier than they can on Instagram it,basically likes a bit of a fire under,Instagram's ass and it makes them think,okay we've got to do something about,this what can we do which will help our,creators feel like they're more in,control over how many people get to see,their content now the feature that,they've released which supports this,trend prediction is their topics feature,now topics will basically allow us,creators to identify what our content is,about which should hopefully mean that,we have more control as to who is going,to see our conten

you don't have a choice,at this point people don't even have,options everybody is on twitter but like,yeah twitter is working telegram is,working snapchat is working i think,linkedin is working yeah a what's up YouTube world Instagram and,Facebook's down what are we gonna do,yeah I'm just driving home from work,don't do this dumb kids,it's a beautiful beautiful day but yeah,I just wanted to say hi and thanks for,all the likes and,comments and stuff on that last video I,just being a goofball and you guys seem,to love it at least some of you I'm sure,there's some haters that's okay,there's also alligators and I choose,this day wait knows but yeah this is uh,just driving home it's about 6a it's,exactly 6 6 p.m. I'm wiping my way back,to Manford from Tulsa looks like a,30-minute drive it's like 30 minutes,west dish Tulsa still working for the,city still living the dream,great job I'm trying to think of some,new things that we've done what's going,on,I've been meditating a whole lot been,reading on the Lud we're planning our,trip to California in August we're gonna,do like a week-long camping slash road,trip she's gotta wear shades got the,it's a group that she is in in the,church that we go to every now and then,it's like a ladies group and they're,doing like a California retreat trip and,we're rather than spending money on the,plane tickets and all that we're just,gonna make a whole week long road trip,out of it that's gonna be in August,don't know why I said there's gonna be,an obvious plate the beginning of August,that'll be fun we're vegetarians now,we've been vegetarians for about a,little over two months probably yeah,over two months painted as a,April first I think this lived my dad,Michael my goal is to be 100% vegan,starting April 1st because I'm still I,would say I'm almost vegan now like,vegetarian with some vegan tendencies,but I still occasionally partake in,cheese,I've been doing all my smoothies though,with,coconut milk which honestly in my,opinion is tastier than regular milk so,that's not an issue that regular milk,makes me party anyway so it's just,better for everybody but I don't drink,it yeah my life's been good vegetarians,meditating have been walking a little,bit different of a spiritual path lately,just it's been a good a really good last,couple months,I haven't felt this awake in a long time,and I can I can thank meditation and,honestly I think being a vegetarian,tells me a lot with my mind it's so much,more clear like it was almost immediate,as soon as I stopped eating meat like I,feel so much better I don't drink,anymore I mean I I we've decided here in,the last week or so that we're not gonna,drink anymore just health reasons it's,just better for us to not there's a lot,of calories and alcohol,yeah it's been it's been good it's been,really good I can't complain about a,thing jobs great my life is great we're,living in we're leaving a Manfred it's a,cool little town I built a table I'll,show you that here in a little bit it's,a pretty cool table I took a we had a,bunch of just old scrap two-by-fours and,one by fours just I mean a lot of them,were just not in there rough looking but,I cleaned them up and I made a table out,of I had an old DVD shelf that my Miami,and my stepdad built like a long time,ago years ago and it was like because we,don't really have that many DVDs anymore,and we were contemplating throw it out,throwing it away and I had screwed it,from the wall at her old place when we,were moving it it was like laying on the,floor I was getting ready to take it out,now,holy cow that's like the perfect like,huge dining room table size and I was,like shake we can turn this shell into a,kitchen table because she's been talking,about getting she wanted to get a bigger,kitchen table I was like I could build,one and I just never did and then it,plates I can totally turn that bookshelf,that I was getting ready to get rid of,anyway into a table that's what I did I,took the bookshelf that much old scrap,basically barnwood I mean that's the,quality of the wood it was just I mean,it was within a year or two of just,being dirt but it looks cool it looks,nice I cleaned it up there's a few like,cleaner looking pieces so it's it's it's,it's shabby sheet 104 spin I still have,a clear coat of it but it's a cool table,but yeah I'll show you that and yeah I,am almost home you might get a view of,the lake here in just a second,but yeah I am actually glad that,instagrams down even the whole world's,panicking and I did it first - because,I'm entirely too dependent on Instagram,I got rid of my facebook a long time ago,and that's one of the best things I've,ever done but instagrams cool I like,Instagram but you can kind of see the,lake now it's sort of that's all right,but yeah Here I am just living the dream,still be written I trimmed it a few,months back I'm gonna let it go on let,it go crazy again,I am in Manford getting ready to take my,turn off the highway yeah I just figured,you know I'm gonna post a video I posted,the Eaton video earlier and that like,within 45 minutes had almost 7 DB use,that's probably the closest to viral I,ever had wherever will be but I'll take,it and I think everybody
