Hi guys I'm so excited about this new Instagram
feature that I wanted to share it with you ,straight away. Just a few days ago Instagram
launched the new link sticker in Instagram ,Stories. If you've got it already give me a thumbs
up! It's such an exciting update that I wanted to ,show you exactly what it was and how to use it
to drive more traffic to your chosen website. ,I'll finish off this tutorial by sharing one of
my 'Nicky Ninja' tips which will give your link ,sticker a totally unique and branded look. If
you're new to this channel I'm Nicky Pasquier, ,I'm a Canva Certified Creative and Canva Creator
so if you want to learn more about how to use ,Canva for your business be sure to subscribe and
hit the bell notification so that you know exactly ,when I publish a new video. Okay so normally I'm
not one to get super excited about a new social ,media update. However this is different. Why? Well
firstly because the link sticker is available to ,everybody. The link sticker has effectively
taken the place of the swipe-up feature ,which as you know was only available to
people who had 10k subscribers or more. ,The second reason is because the link
sticker is available to businesses that sell ,SERVICES as well as products. So if you're a B2B
brand like me you can use the link sticker to ,send your followers directly to your website,
to a sales page, to a landing page to book a ,webinar or even to book a course. You can even
use it to grow your email list really quickly. ,So it's a very powerful feature. So now I've
explained it to you let's dive into the details. ,If you've not already discovered it you can find
the link sticker by opening up your Instagram ,account. I'm using an Android smartphone so those
of you who use iOS may see something slightly ,different. So I'm going to click on the cross icon
right at the top of my screen to create a post. ,Next I'm going to select Story, and I can now
share a Story by taking a photo or recording ,a quick video directly from my smartphone. I can
also tap the little window at the bottom left hand ,corner of my screen to add a photo or video from
my gallery. So I'm going to go ahead and use this ,particular photo from my gallery. I'll just resize
it slightly so that it looks a little bit better. ,And now I'm going to tap on the sticker icon right
at the top of my screen which will open up this ,menu. The link sticker will look very much like
this when it appears on your instagram account ,and it will appear on this menu right here. So
to add a link sticker to your Instagram account ,just tap on the sticker and you'll see a
screen very much like this one up here. ,All you need to do is copy and paste
your chosen URL into this space here,Next click on 'Done' or hit return on your keypad. ,And your link will appear on your screen like
this. Just as you can do with all the other ,stickers you can tap on them to change their
appearance, you can also pinch the sticker with ,your fingers to make it smaller or bigger in size
and to change the position on your screen. Once ,you've added your link sticker you can now add it
to your Stories by tapping on the appropriate link ,underneath the screen. Of course what you see will
no doubt vary depending on what kind of smartphone ,you're using but this is how it will look on
my android screen. So all I will need to do is ,tap on this link here to add it to my Stories.
So once one of my followers taps on my Canva ,link they'll be invited to visit that link which
will take them over to my Canva Creator Profile,And now for that little 'Nicky Ninja' tip which I
promised you earlier on. I'm going to show you how ,to transform that rather dull looking link sticker
by customising it into your own unique call to ,action button. To do that I'm going to go over
to my Canva homepage and create my own customised ,template. So I'm going to click on 'Create
a design' in the top right hand corner of my ,Canva screen. I'm going to customise the size and
I'm going to create a template which is 1000px by ,300px and then 'Create new design'. So that gives
me a nice horizontal template because what I'm ,going to do next is create my own call to action
button. I'm going to start off by going over to ,the Elements tab in the left hand side toolbar,
selecting Lines and Shapes and then selecting ,the square with the slightly rounded corners.
Next I'm going to resize it into a button shape,I'm going to add my brand colour
and i'm going to add some text. ,Fabulous! Now I'm going to download the
button by clicking on the Download tab, ,selecting the file type as a PNG file, making
sure that I tick the transparent background box ,so you will need Canva Pro for this.

hey guys welcome back to the channel if,you're new to the channel we are high,season a social media agency that helps,business owners entrepreneurs and,marketers step their social media game,up and break the algorithm today we are,back or i'm back here and you know if,it's just me it's usually going to be,some type of instagram hack design or,it's about ads so today we're getting,into design and i want to talk about the,instagram link sticker so instagram link,stickers are available to everybody if,you didn't know now you know you do not,need to have 10k you do not need to be,verified everyone and their mama can,link in stories now which is a beautiful,thing no more of all these hacks about,how to get swipe ups and all that stuff,however it is not very aesthetically,pleasing to put it lightly you know you,have like that blue one that's like the,default that comes up and then there are,these two other options where if you tap,it you can get to the clear transparent,option or you tap it again and you can,get to the black and white option which,is okay but for the people like me out,there who always want to level up their,stories and make sure everything is you,know the aesthetics on point then you,are definitely going to want to know,about these two ways that you can,customize that link sticker so let's,jump right in alright so as you can see,i moved myself a little bit over to the,side here so that way i can demo for you,so let's just jump right into the first,way to add your custom link stickers and,that's directly in stories so that's how,you're going to design it so i'm just,going to pull up my stories here,and i'm going to use this video which i,was filming which if you're following us,on instagram you will see because it's,us asking about an ama coming up but,anyways so i'm gonna go into the stories,and do what we normally do when we're,trying to direct people somewhere right,we head over to the link sticker,we type in for example say i was,advertising a youtube video which i am,in this video that you actually see here,we would have our link sticker right,the blue,she's just not doing it for us right and,as i told you there's a transparent and,then there's the black but what you can,do is use the text feature to cover this,sticker and create your own custom call,to action so,we're going to go over here and we're,going to say for example,click to,watch,and then all you do,is,so simple place it right over and as,soon as you place it over and you hit,publish,anyone is going to be able to click that,because what most people don't realize,when you have any of these links behind,another asset you're able to still tap,them they still work so everyone will be,able to click to watch and you've just,made yourself a custom link sticker,directly in stories,now the other way is a bit more fancy,and that's in canvas so i'm going to,head over to the desktop and show you so,i'm at my computer now because i want to,show you what you do in canva so you can,actually design the buttons specifically,that you'd like with your exact colors,and exact typography whatever the font,is that you love and then paste that,into your story so i'll show you how so,let's create a design here and we'll,just do it as an instagram post so that,it's square and then what you're going,to want to do is add in your text so,that can either be from your own brand,kit or whichever text makes the most,sense for you so right here we actually,use open sans all the time so i'm just,gonna say click to,click to watch for example here,fold it out a little bit and then say,our brand colors they're actually always,like gray to be honest like gray and,black you know like we're you can see,we're always wearing black and grey,really like let's let's be real here,then you're gonna head over to elements,and do lines and shapes you can kind of,do this in whichever order that you like,and then you can kind of choose the look,that you want based on the elements that,are here so there are so many options so,it really depends what makes the most,set or fits for you so here for example,i'm doing a click to watch,as you can see here,and there are two options so i can do,that,and then on the second one as our second,color is like a darker green i can make,it that,easy do you see what i'm doing here and,then you're going to download that and,you're going to download it on a,transparent background so that's super,key so you're going to want to download,it on a transparent background,and then this next step really depends,on whether you have a pc or mac but,get it to your phone so for me it means,i'm going to be air dropping it to my,iphone okay so i'm back on my phone now,after having transferred that image from,canva over to my phone and what we're,going to do we're going to jump back,into the exact same story but now we're,going to use our custom design our,custom button as the link sticker so,what you're going to do just trickse die uhr l 1 also die,internetadresse von der seite die duh,verlinken möchtest noch ein hinweis also,eigentlich sollte das gläserne viele dir,nicht auf seiten zu verlinken die gegen,die gemeinschaftsrecht von instagram,verstoßen also nichts mit sexualität,gewalt drogen etc ansonsten kann es,nicht passieren dass dein konto,eingeschränkt oder sogar komplett,gesperrt wird jetzt hast du noch die,möglichkeit dann links ticker zu,personalisieren also beim sticker in der,story da wird ihr einen text angezeigt,das war ja bei mir vorhin,affiliate-marketing starten jetzt kannst,du eben selbst entscheiden was dort,stehen soll um den entsprechenden text,hinzuzufügen klickst du unten auf,sticker text personalisieren und kannst,du den text eintragen zum beispiel,kannst du auch einfach eintragen hier,klicken oder wenn du ein video für links,kannst du auch hinschreiben zum video,dieses personalisieren zum text das ist,ein kann aber kein muss wenn du dieses,feld frei lässt wird automatisch ein,text generiert wird meistens die domain,angezeigt von der internetseite auf die,dauphin links eine weitere sehr wichtige,funktion ist die vorschau die forscher,kannst du nutzen um zu sehen ob der link,sticker funktioniert hier oben steht in,blau unter der url vorschau ansehen da,kann es einfach drauf klicken und dann,sehen ob du auf die richtige seite,weitergeleitet wirst ja bei uns passt,hier alles ich werde auf die,entsprechende seite weitergeleitet das,würde ich immer machen einmal antesten,ob dieser link auch funktioniert wenn,man vertippt sich mal ganz schnell beim,link und dann funktioniert die,verlinkung nicht die leute land nicht,auf der seite es wird er angezeigt wie,sich nämlich auch schon passiert dass,ich mal einen falschen buchstaben in der,url hatte und dann erst später nachdem,ich zehn weitere stories gemacht habe,festgestellt habe dass es nicht,funktioniert und sowas ist mega nervig,aber die gute nachricht ist eben dass es,vermeiden kann in denen du dein link,immer überprüft wenn wir jetzt alles,fertig einige tipps den link überprüft,hast dann kannst oben rechts auf,fertigkeiten und jetzt kannst du den,sticker natürlich noch größer und,kleiner 10 mit diesen instagram tricks die ich dir,jetzt zeigen möchte kannst du deinen,link button in der story so optimieren,dass wir endlich wieder leute,draufklicken er längst dicker wird für,alle konten ausgerollt beziehungsweise,ist es eigentlich schon früher war es ja,so dass du diesen zweig ab nun ab 10.000,follower nutzen konnte es jetzt kann es,eigentlich jeder erreichbar über das die,kamine in der story der links dicker,erhöht vor allen dingen aber auch nicht,die click barkeit der swype ab war so,präsent und über jahre hin einfach so,bekannt dass mehr leute swype abgenutzt,haben als auf einen link geklickt haben,warum das so ist weiß ich nicht warum es,aber geändert wird das weiß ich schon,bekommen aber jetzt gleich noch zu dass,der links dicker noch nicht so,angenommen wodurch halt von super vielen,influenza marketingexperten die einfach,sagen dass die klickrate leidet und,meiner meinung nach liegt es,hauptsächlich an der optik bzw natürlich,auch dass es einfach neues und die leute,sich daran gewöhnen müssen kleiner liegt,dazu das was ich gerade angeteasert habe,die story soll vertikal werden,gegebenenfalls instagram erste dass man,nicht mehr so durch die story 2 sondern,so durch die stories weit und das würde,natürlich mit einem 2 pub nicht,funktionieren also wenn wir hoch,schreiben um die story sozusagen zu,verlassen und zu einem link zu kommen,dann würde dieses vertikale system,keinen sinn machen was auch dafür,spricht dass die story gebenenfalls,vertikal wird ist dass sie ab jetzt 60,sekunden lang ist also noch nicht bei,allen nagelt mich nicht darauf fest aber,ganz viele leute haben das mittlerweile,schon ob groß ob klein völlig egal aber,fast alle davon sind alles leute oder,alle davon sind ios nutzer deswegen ist,es im moment noch in der testphase also,davon gehe ich jetzt einfach mal aus und,wenn man längere stories machen kann,dann ist das ja schon fast eine art,video und kann ja schon fast in den vier,integriert werden ich glaube nicht dass,das jemals passiert dafür funktioniert,die story einfach zu gut aber vertikal,wer auf jeden fall glaube ich klüger als,das was wir jetzt haben ich weiß es aber,noch nicht kennst du es cool wenn die,story auf einmal vertikal zu wischen ist,anstatt horizontal schreibe das gerne,meine kommentare und wenn man dazu,gehören links dieter einfach geiler,machen können wir können eigene pmg ist,zum beispiel auch in unserer eigenen,firmenfarbe oder branding farbe,herstellen also um button sozusagen er,kann war einfach 300 mal 300 einstellen,und in die suchleiste,button besuchen und dann findet man ganz,ganz viele elemente die kann man,meistens sogar noch anpassen mit eigener,farbe dann müsst ihr das einfach nur,exportieren und den hintergrund,transparent machen und das auf euer,handy schicken das war's schon,transparente png es müsste aber auch,nicht selber über kann wahr machen ihr,könnt doch einfach bei google macht wenn,ihr bei google eingibt,transparentes png dann auf die suche,klickt dann werdet ihr hier ganz viele,bilder finden wo es transparent ist und,natürlich transparent das pmg macht,jetzt an der stelle keinen sinn deswegen,könnt ihr zum beispiel eingeben button,transparentes png und schon findet ihr,hier ganz viele button der zum beispiel,oder dieser hier und wenn ihr darauf,geht dann könnt ihr das in der regel als,transparent des pmg herunterladen und,das einfach als linkslenker sozusagen,nehmen was funktioniert dann so dass ihr,einfach den link ein postet und den,button darüber macht mit einer schrift,irgendwie hier klicken oder sonst,irgendwas weil das ist ja dann schon,richtig auffällig wie habe ich euch,jetzt mal ein video eingeblendet die ja,auch einfach über instagram eines ticker,suche machen könnt ihr könnt zum,beispiel klick hier eingeben oder auch,das wort button oder auch wahrscheinlich,ganz viele verschiedene andere sachen um,solche dinge einfach zu finden so was,wie frame steht für rahmen war keine,ahnung feuerwerk oder irgendwas seid,kreativ da werdet ihr sicherlich irgend,etwas finden was für euch passt man kann,auch einfach einen ganz normalen text,darüber lägen also ihr könnt alles,drüber legen und der links dicker bleibt,trotzdem für euch klickbar werdet ihr am,besten einfach mal ein kleines bisschen,kreativ denn ich schwöre euch die click,barkeit geht deutlich nach oben und wenn,ihr schon etwas verlinkt dann wollt ihr,die click barkeit natürlich auch erhöhen,nicht immer vielleicht wollte auch mal,eine quelle verlinkt und zum beispiel,dann interessiert euch das er nicht ob,viele leute drauf klicken oder nicht,aber wenn ihr eine kooperation haben,denn ein eigenes produkt hat wenn ihr,irgendetwas verkaufen wollt wenn er eine,e mail liste bewerbt für all das könnt,ihr das wunderbar nutzen der zweite,vorteil ist noch man sieht erstmal ja,nicht direkt diesen blöden namen weil,man hat ja dann immer irgendwie direkt,die webseite als link namen klein,reminder when instagram announced the link,sticker a lot of people jumped on the,trend of linking to things like products,offers podcasts and youtube videos the,problem is that the stickers don't look,very good sometimes they don't match the,look of your story or your brand after,someone saw a custom link sticker in my,stories a couple of weeks ago they asked,me how i did that which prompted today's,video my name is roger coles and today,i'm going to teach you how you can,create custom branded link stickers for,your instagram stories let's get to it,so the first thing that we're going to,do is find a template that we can,customize in canva i'm going to choose,this one right here because it's sized,for stories already which is going to,make it a lot easier to customize once,we've got that open you can customize it,to your own fonts and your own colors,anything that matches your existing,brand i'm going to pretend that this is,my brand even though it's not just for,the sake of time the next step is to,reconfigure it so that we can add some,space to add in a button so to do that,i'm going to delete this line right here,and i'm going to pull this down and,we'll grab both of those text blocks and,bring them up,one thing to keep in mind is to always,leave a little bit of margin at the top,and bottom of your stories too many,times people crowd their stories and put,links in places that people can't,actually click let me show you what i,mean here's an example of what instagram,recommends for safe margins at the top,about 250 pixels at the bottom about 250,pixels and then in the middle that's,your safe zone if you were really being,particular about how much space you,wanted to leave and you wanted exactly,250 pixels then you could just tap the r,key to create a rectangle resize it and,you'll notice these little numbers right,here start to change as i move it and,resize it so you could go straight to,250 if you wanted to i'm not going to be,that particular about it for today i'm,just going to eyeball it so here we go,i'm going to bring this up,and now we've got a little bit of space,between the text block and the phone,for our button,to find a button i'm going to go to the,elements tab and search for pill,plus,shape,and we're going to resize this and,position it to the center,and then we'll choose one of the colors,that are already in the photo that's a,darker color since we know that the text,is going to be a light color so we'll go,with something like this,and this is going to become our call to,action button to stay consistent i'm,going to use the fonts that are already,in the template so i'm just going to,copy this one here,and change the color to a light color,and the call to action will be tap here,to shop the next step is to duplicate,this artboard which we can do by,clicking on this icon right here,and we're going to delete everything,except the button,boom and boom next up we'll download the,first image as a png we'll go to page 2,and we'll download that,as a png with a transparent background,next you'll want a way that you can get,these images to your phone you can,either do that through airdrop which is,what i'm going to do or you could email,it to yourself there's a lot of,different ways for you to get these,images on your phone so we'll air drop,these now let's head to instagram so,here we are on instagram and we're going,to create a new story,we'll find the image that's the full,image that includes the button and bring,that in and then click on the sticker,button,and go to the link sticker,and here's where you punch in whatever,link that you want to redirect your,followers to so in my case we'll say my,social,designer,dot com,done,and it brings in our sticker now it's a,little bit big so i'm gonna resize that,to about the same size as the button and,now this is why we saved the next image,as a png with a transparent background,because we're going to put that button,right on top so we'll go back to the,sticker button,and go down to the photo sticker and,here we'll grab in just the button and,we're going to resize that to fit right,on top of the other button and now we,can share it to our stories so go next,share,done and now you can see when i open up,my story and i tap on that button,users will be redirected to the link,that you've chosen it's a great way to,have a call to action right within your,instagram stories if you want to use the,template that you saw today then click,the link in the description below if you,found this video helpful be sure to give,it a like and follow along for more,canva and content creation tips thank,you so much for watching today now it's,time for you to go create something,amazing i'll see you next time,you

did you know that on instagram you no,longer need to have over 10 000,followers to add a link in your,instagram stories not just that but you,can also customize that link and in this,video i'm going to show you how,so this new feature replaces the swipe,up option which used to be on instagram,and there used to be like a link icon at,the top of your screen if you had over,10 000 followers,now it's completely different and you,need to select a sticker and i'm going,to show you how so go to the instagram,app tap on the plus and then story,and then select the story that you want,to,post and now what you need to do is tap,on the sticker icon which is in the,middle at the top,and then tap on the link button there,and then type in what it is that you,would like to share,so i'm just going to go over to my,podcast and get the,url so there's sarah's podcast interview,and i'm going to just tap here in three,dots in the bottom,and then copy link,and then go back into instagram,tap on the um url option,paste and there it is and i always check,to make sure by tapping on the c preview,and there we have it,so back to instagram below the url field,we've got a customized sticker text,option so just tap on there,and here i'm just going to type in,listen,to interview,tap on done and there we have it now you,can move this around which i'm going to,if you tap on it,once you get another option tap again,you get another option,and if you pinch and squeeze in you can,just make it slightly smaller and then,place it on your story and then share,your story as normal so some other ideas,of text you could put there are tap to,read tap to buy,tap to listen,new blog post,book workshop book of course,it's limitless really what you type,there but really think about what action,you'd like your,viewer to take on tapping on that link,so i hope you found that useful and,you'll start now using that option in,stories so just go to stories tap on the,sticker icon tap on link and then just,fill in the fields if you would like,more hints and tips on how to use,instagram photography blogging and also,flowers make sure you subscribe to my,channel and i'll see you again next,thursday,you
