hey guys what's up I'm Christian Taylor,and today I'm gonna be talking about,Instagram BOTS,oh yeah Instagram BOTS,so surely you know what those are and,you probably think of one of two things,either the inappropriate scam bots that,try to get you to click a link to lead,you to an unfortunate website or this,scam spam bots follow for a chance to,win a free iphone all you have to do is,click this sketchy link give us all your,personal information and you'll be,entered to win right I'm definitely sure,that's how it works well believe it or,not I'm not talking about those types of,bots I'm talking about arguably more,annoying ones all right so you know when,you post something and you put a lot of,work into it and you just get these,comments that are like thumbs up double,hands great work I dig your work this is,amazing keep it up and you're like okay,I'm pretty sure this is not a real,person but at the same time I don't know,what are those what's the point,are they scammers are they just actually,people and you think their BOTS what are,they alright let me explain so there are,services out there I'm not sure the name,but I'll probably have an on screen,there's services out there that,basically you link your Instagram,account to it and they troll for,hashtags so okay let's say that,obviously I make type videos I want,other tech oriented people to follow me,so I might leave a troll set up a troll,for hashtag iPhone hashtag Android,hashtag technology and I want this bot,that I set up to automatically comet hey,nice post so maybe they'll check out my,profile and they might go hey this guy's,in attack,and attack I'm gonna follow him so,that's what people are trying to do but,my gosh are they annoying why because it,just screws up your likes and your,comments instead of having comments and,likes from people who genuinely mean it,you just have all these crap comments,nice poof's keep it up and it's like wow,I can't even get real comments genuine,comments I just have this crud under my,post so what can you do to stop it well,unfortunately not a whole lot I will say,that not putting any hashtags will help,but it seems like BOTS can even search,just based on text in your description,and also who wants to not use hashtags,they're useful they're fun they're cool,and they can help legitimate strangers,find your post who actually may be,interested so I tend to not use hashtags,as much and I find it helps me a lot,with getting rid of those annoying,comments but I honestly there's not much,you can do the best thing you can do is,just be proactive in deleting those,comments if they bother you but I also,wanted to make this video for awareness,because I see too many people who reply,to each comment they're like thank you,ah thanks man ah thanks you're the best,I'm like are they that clueless it's,clearly a bot like this is not a real,person so if you're watching this and,you thought those are real people,they're not real people newsflash just,wanted to get that out the hair because,come on guys like you just look dumb if,you're replying to a bot so that's all I,just wanted to talk about Instagram BOTS,where they come from why they exist and,what you can do to eliminate them on,your posts so if you liked this video,please be sure to leave a big thumbs up,subscribe and enable post notifications,so you don't miss when I release new,videos and with that said I'll catch you,guys,next time

nowadays it seems like if you ask,someone what's more impressive having,one million dollars or one million,followers on Instagram,sadly a lot of people are going to say,the latter now whether you agree with,that or not that's just the reality we,live in and as the saying goes if you,can't beat him join him or in this case,if you can't beat him write a program,that can beat him so that's what we're,going to be doing in this video after,doing some digging I found a really good,GitHub repository that lets you run an,Instagram bot so we're going to run it,and see if I can get Instagram famous so,either I'm going to get a lot of,followers or I might end up getting,banned by Instagram so really in the,spectrum of one of those two things but,only one way to find out so feel free to,follow along you guys don't need any,prior programming knowledge to run this,bot so with that being said,let's get into it all right so this is,the GitHub repository of the Instagram,bot it is called instapi now the one,that you want to go to is instapot,QuickStart because what we want to do is,we just want to quickly get this started,now installing this bot requires,installing a lot of programs and,dependencies on your system I personally,don't want to get that mixed up with my,personal operating system so the first,thing I'm going to do is actually,download a virtual machine and run it on,that so the first thing we need to do is,actually download a program that can,host our virtual machine now if you go,ahead and go over to Google and you type,in virtualbox,and click on the first link,and then go ahead and download,virtualbox to your machine and you can,either download it for whatever,operating system you're using whether it,be Windows Mac or Linux I'm going to,assume you guys know how to download and,install basic programs so I'm not going,to walk you guys through that but that,would be the first step that you need,now the second thing we're going to need,is an actual operating system so for me,the easiest thing to use is going to be,Linux I'm going to be running Ubuntu,specifically so if you just go to Google,and type in Ubuntu download,go to ubuntu.com,and honestly you could just download the,first LTS or long term support version,so I'm going to go ahead and download,that,so then you just basically wait for your,download and it should take a,it's two gigabytes so I will pause the,video and come back when it's done so,over here on our left we have the Ubuntu,operating system ISO downloaded and on,the right here we have an instance of,virtualbox running so the first thing,you want to do is go ahead and click new,and give it a name so I'm just going to,call it Ubuntu,hit continue,now you need to give it a specified,amount of ram I'm going to go ahead and,give it four gigs of RAM,and then we're going to go ahead and,create a virtual hard disk,click dynamically allocated I'm going to,use just whatever the specified thing is,10 gigabytes,um,so now we've created like kind of like,an empty shell here and we need to go,ahead and Link the iso image to that so,if you go to settings,go to storage and then you go to this,plus button here,if it's not here already you're going to,have to go ahead and click add and,navigate to your downloads folder here,and click that,and then go ahead and select the image,hit choose,hit OK,and then go ahead and start your,operating system,all right so now it's just going to go,ahead and go through the normal,installation process this is kind of a,long process and there's a ton of,tutorials on YouTube already how to do,this so I'm just going to pause the,video go through the basic installations,and come back when that's done,all right so at this point we have a,clean installation of Ubuntu we want to,go ahead and open up Mozilla which comes,pre-installed on the operating system we,want to navigate to that same instapi,Repository,now we can either download this using,git but the easiest way would be to just,go over to the right here and click on,clone or download,and then go ahead and download the zip,version,and then if you go to save file you,click OK and if we want to go ahead it,should be in our downloads folder which,it is here now if you go ahead and,double click on that,click on instapi quick start master and,hit extract,hit extract again,and it here i'm using vs code editor and,i'm using python version 3.10 i have,given the links in the description for,installing python and vs code so you can,go through that so now let's go ahead i,have opened my vs code already and i'll,select the language as python and i'll,just save this file on my desktop with,the name bot underscore instagram,and save,we are going to use a library named,instabot,and by using this package we are going,to create our instagram bot,so now we will have to install it for,that i will write the command pip,install,insta bot,since i have already installed this,i'm getting requirement already,satisfied,so now in this package there is a class,called bot,we need to import that class,in order to do that i will type from,insta bot,import,bot,there you go,now we have to create the object of this,class because inside this class there,are different functions that we will be,using to automate our instagram,so i'll create an object called my,underscore bot,equal to bot,so now the object is created next is,that we have to login because that's the,very first thing that we will have to do,we need to login into our instagram,account,right,so in order to do that there is a,function named login inside this class,so i write my bot login,and you will have to pass the username,and password to this function so i'll,write username,equal to,coding101,with,steve,comma and password equal to,one two three four five six seven and,nine ten,just kidding,so that's it by this we will be logged,in into our account,now,the very first operation that we are,going to see,is how to follow someone or how to,follow your friend on instagram so let,me just type follow,uh user,okay,i'll do my bot,follow,this is what is going on guys I am back for,another Instagram video I've done quite,a lot of videos based on Instagram,recently and it's not like I keep,wanting to do them it's just that things,keep happening that I can talk about in,a video my last video was Instagram,clickbait and today's video is gonna be,about Instagram bots I'm not here to,expose them or talk about what they do,because it isn't anything new they've,been on Twitter and Instagram for a few,years and people have made videos on,them and stuff I will briefly talk about,what they do and stuff but for the most,part we're just gonna be taking a look,at the actual accounts they're self okay,so these bots that I'm talking about,we're not talking about like when people,fake followers or anything these bots,are basically created to scam people,they'll make an Instagram account with,like some random name of a girl they'll,upload a few pictures of a different,girl a different model on the Internet,usually the girl will be completely,naked for some reason like this is why,it's so obvious that it's a scam and,their account is them pretending to be,that girl and then what they'll do is,they'll go into comments sections of,popular pictures or videos and they'll,comment stuff along the lines of I'll,want to see my secret video click the,link in my bio and it's just used as,bait to trick people who were gullible,enough to think that is real that's what,they do again I'm not here to expose,them because a lot of people already,have it today we're gonna look at a few,of these accounts and comments because,they can be pretty funny so here's the,first profile that I found if we just,take a look at it we can see that they,have 0 followers which is very,believable into thinking that this is a,real person I'm going to blur the,pictures out obviously / take a look at,this bio see live video of my man strobe,Asian I think you mean masturbation,because I don't know what man strobe,Asian is I was on live broadcast Manchu,Abasi see in my video it's Manchester,Abasi see in my bio it sounds like a, Italian food or something,they're trying to spell masturbation but,but man strobe a see and then her,profile the one who commented that see,my live masturbation video and just here,alright so your spelling has kind of,improved,we're getting there you went from,monster bossy to monster bation so it's,an improvement the problem with this,account is that,there's no link in the bio so he's not,even doing his purpose of the account,and again one follower,no one's believing now take a look at,the master bath eave it can we just,spell masturbation right for once I'm,getting sick of all these different ways,of saying it and by the way like you can,comment anything on Instagram it doesn't,get deleted it doesn't get blacklisted,or anything like you can comment,anything and it will stay in the,comments unless the person deletes it so,spelling masturbation wrong isn't gonna,do anything take a look at the master,bath evideo for the first time and bleed,my web check for the first time what the, did you even just say okay so you,want us to take a look at your master,bath evideo and then you're telling us,to bleed your web check for the first,time what on earth does that mean,another comment from someone else see,live broadcast of menstruation in my,video you know I'm actually gonna Google,this cuz I feel like maybe I'm the dumb,one and these words actually exist okay,so you google masturbation it comes up,with the actual word now let's Google,what was it master bassy okay so you,type in master bossy and it comes up,with see English results only so maybe,that is the word for it in a different,language but like why comment everything,else in English apart from one word and,I can't remember what the other world,was but there was three different,spellings but masturbation actually,means nothing okay now this one surely,can't mean anything in a different,language,check my bio to see my man Strube you,know I'm just I'm not even to say,anything about that see me on live,broadcast man strobe a/c in my bio,that's enough about the comments let's,talk about the actual pictures that they,use so I don't think I've got any,examples here I could maybe find one if,you know when I'm editing or something,but sometimes these accounts go further,than unrealistic they're using pictures,of girls and sometimes they've got,watermarks in of the actual girl's name,when they create their account with a,fake name that is completely different,like who goes to these accounts and he's,like oh look Tiffany commented on my,picture saying there's a secret video in,her bio I wonder why the pictures on her,account have someone else's name in it,I'll click the link anyway who does that,but that's gonna be it for this video,guys that's all I wanted to speak about,these bots have been making a return,recently I've been seeing a lot more of,them again it's nothing new they've been,happening on Twitter and Instagram for,years people have
